Wow! This place is awesome! It's very cozy right when you walk in and very friendly and welcoming. Its decor is very cool and fun to look at. There's something in every corner that's fun to look at. The young woman who made my coffee was so sweet and kind and she made my hazelnut latte just right! She greeted everyone who came in and said goodbye to everyone leaving without missing a single person all the while making orders by herself, very impressive! They even have Riverside donuts from McHenry and I haven't had one of those since I was a kid! Having one of those reminded me of Sunday mornings with my grandparents. So nostalgic! We own a few vacation rentals in the area and so I also picked up a gift card for one of our repeat guests. He will be putting this coffee shop in our local guidebook for all of our guests to enjoy! Definitely coming back!
Wonderful place. I can’t believe I haven’t tried this shop sooner. My latte was silky smooth and robust. The barista was so sweet, she even made me a cute heart! Latte art was so cute. Made my self care day even more special.
We were in desperate need of coffee and S$$ just wouldn't cut it this morning. We wanted good coffee and not burnt tasting mass market stuff. We discovered The Coffee Shop and really enjoyed some great coffee and pastry. Now, we don't order coffee that takes 23 words to order. I had a large iced coffee with oat milk and my wife had a large hot coffee. She ordered a chocolate donut and I had an apple Danish. Simple order that was fulfilled quickly with delicious coffee and pastries. It was a beautiful morning and we sat outside to enjoy it. The staff was great, especially the woman who was just learning the drinks and her way around the shop. Super friendly and well deserving of the generous tip I left.
Cute coffee shop with a true home town feel. It is located in what I think was once a home or maybe a small business with a view of the lake. It is cute and charming and they make you feel welcome.
I had a delicious caramel latte and my husband had a plain latte. Even though it was busy for the one employee working, she took orders and made the drinks very efficiently. They have quite an extensive menu of coffee with a variety of mix-ins and flavors the can be made hot, iced or as a frappe.
As a rare treat, we also enjoyed a fresh donut from the bakery case. I assume they bring these in from a local bakery. It was delicious.
There is a lot of seating in three rooms and on the front porch. The tables were all clean and comfortable. They display art from local artists on the walls which was interesting to look at.
This was probably our 7th or more visit to The Coffee Shop and every experience has been great. We will come back.
Love the coffee here! They even have sugar free options and the customer service is so nice and friendly! Would definitely come back again and again! It's like a warm hug on a cold winter day!
So glad for a coffee shop in Fox Lake, cute atmosphere and the lattes were delish, I tried the chocolate strawberry latte and it was perfect! My husband had an iced oat milk latte and enjoyed it. Excited to try more drinks!
Lovely place - a little hidden but definitely worth stopping by! Tried their roasted almond herbal tea very delicious! Can't wait to go go back and try other menu items. They have baked goods from Riverside Bakery in McHenry, which never disappoints. Cute decor, great service, & reasonably priced.
