Irish themed bar in the Airport. Really surprisingly good spot. Loved the decor nice bar barstools and lighting. Food prices good for an airport and servers were very attentive and friendly. Smithwicks on tap along with some local beers and Guinness of course. Also had Boddingtons pub ale in cans. It is hard to spot at the midpoint of concourse D and seating is limited. If you have a ton of bulky luggage this is not a good choice. Otherwise this was our favorite airport stop out of all the airports on this trip.
A crowded airport bar (fairly hidden and hard to spot) that sits everyone on top of each other but NO room for luggage. Strange. Servers are ok - ours was arrogant but efficient; fish & chips decent with frozen fries and drinks averagely high. Order a water and you will receive a bottle of water for $5. The big joke was the ‘recommended’ 18% tax on top of taxes. Don’t pay it but be prepared for the evil “rolled” eyes.
Was delayed and very hungry with my traveling partner so stopped in since there are limited sit down options in this section of the airport.
Saw a guy get a burger which seemed like it looked good so I ordered on. Partner wanted fries as well but noticed they don’t come with the chicken sandwich options so I told her we’d probably have enough to split with the burger. Boy was I wrong. ????
Both the chicken sandwich and burger came out absolutely torched dry. Basically the food equivalent of eating cardboard. Not wanting to get into sending things back and forth we just ate what we could. The fries with the burger came in what looked like a large metal cup and we were like.. “ great more than enough of those” except that the wax paper inside the cup was the only filled to roughly the same amount as a small McDonalds fry. Kind of wonky for a $17 burger, the kicker was the chicken sandwich came out in this enormous basket with only a pickle to accompany its arid chicken companion. It looked quite sad and considering what they are charging for these at the airport I hope the Accountant who mentioned they could save $.09 a serving by eliminating fried falls down a flight of stairs.
A note weary travelers.. they tack on 18% gratuity to your bill already so please realize that and not over tip on such stunningly mediocre foods (even by Airport standards).
Stopped in here to grab a bite and a drink before my flight.
The decor is like typical Irish pubs. There is music going on, but at the time, you can hear people talking.
I was seated and it took about 15 minutes before someone came over to me. I was a bit perplexed about how come the server at the table next to me didn’t ask if I was being helped, despite making eye contact with him.
My server Lidice came over and was really friendly. I ordered a double shot of Don Julio reposado and the Island wings.
The drink came and it didn’t taste like there was a double shot in it. It tasted mostly like the margarita mix. The wings were actually pretty good and tasted better with the blue cheese.
I was taking my time eating since my flight was delayed. Lidice came over and asked if I needed anything else and if she can bring the check. Not even two minutes passed, then Lidice came over and exclaimed that she needed me to check out because she wanted to go home. I was taken off guard but pulled out my card. I did like that there was a notification on the wall and the receipt about the added gratuity and you had the option to decrease or increase it.
Overall, I feel like this place is just good for quick bites and probably beer and wine. Despite it being an airport bar, I do feel like the customer service could improve.
(This is a 2.5/5 ???? review )
As a restaurant owner myself I recognize and appreciate great servers. Shea the bartender here is outstanding in every aspect. Upbeat, attentive, courteous and efficient. The food was also very good and the atmosphere though a bit of tight quarters was fun.
DON’T EAT HERE. Extremely rude manager, poor service, and DISGUSTING food. I came her with my husband because it looked like a nice spot to watch the masters tournament. I am a pescatarian and at first glance didn’t see fish on the menu. I told them I was going to go get food elsewhere and would be back (I got sushi)- before they never mentioned they had a fish item. Also let me preface and say the place was packed and they were not having trouble with service. While I was gone, my husband ordered beer, an appetizer, entree and side item. When I came back in, the girl waiting on me told me I wasn’t “allowed“ to eat there. I asked why. She left and came back to tell us her manager said “e doesn’t allow outside food at all.“ They also wouldn’t let me sit there with my food in the bag waiting for my husband to finish his beer or get his food and told us to leave. I really have no idea why as we were being extremely kind and not creating any issues or being rude. The poor waiter told us she though it was stupid and she’s sorry her manager is “being like this.” We told her we agreed but not to worry as it’s not her fault. Since she felt bad, she urged the manager to let my husband get his food to go. While we were waiting, the manager stood by our table and stared at me/ watched me until my husband got his food to make sure I didn’t try to eat. I felt this was super unnecessary and he was looking at me with the nastiest look ever. He never once spoke to us or apologized.
I hung out in this place while waiting for my delayed flight. This felt more like a neighborhood bar than an airport. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The drinks were strong and the Shepard’s Pie was pretty good. I took the advice of the waitress and added onions, cheese and mushrooms on top. It did make a difference and elevated the dish.
I ate breakfast here recently and it was okay. The restaurant is pretty cool, it 'kinda' has an Irish pub look, but not really --they tried.
The staff were great, extremely welcoming, friendly and polite. The service wasn't overly fast, and the food took a while to come out even with just a couple others eating.
The coffee was abysmal, it tasted though it was brewed yesterday morning and microwaved --I wouldn’t come looking for good coffee, though I guess it's a sudo Irish pub serving breakfast, we can't ask for too much.
The prices were very reasonable for an airport restaurant. I ordered their breakfast skillet with sausage, mushrooms, bacon, breakfast potatoes, peppers and cheddar. It was good, but it’s one of those meals which come out looking ten times tastier than it really is. It wasn’t bad, just a bit bland. I was a bit disappointed and I’m not going to be writing home about this one.
It was a decent overall experience but likely wouldn't go back --I'll find another spot next time.
