Great food and friendly staff, well worth a visit. Had the chicken and gammon stack with haggis and melted brie, oh and sticky toffee pudding was to die for!
Lovely spacious cafe and great coffee looking over bay
We were nearby for an activity day and popped in for lunch. It's a slightly dated traditional style pub which felt very authentic. The big surprise was the menu - very impressive! We were served by very friendly and the food was delicious. Wish we'd been there to try the evening menu. We didn't have any, but the table next to us had desserts and they looked amazing. Gutted we didn't have time to try!
Food is unimaginative and I hate to say it: Not very good. It was very busy and we were there on a Tuesday night. They advertise themselves as offering hearty food but the burger I had was from a freezer - I've worked in catering and I know a handmade burger. There was virtually no seafood - at least fresh seafood- on the menu despite being yards from the harbour. Service was okay. Avoid if you can.
Although the food was good when I booked I asked to be seated near the window but was placed at rear of restaurant. When I mentioned this I was told I had to sit there even though the other tables were empty. With hindsight I should have left then and not bothered with the food.
