I paid $32.38 for 20 wings and a "large" fry. I've been coming here on and off since 2014 and I think this will be my last time. They have reduced the size of the wings they use, increased the price, and now provide sub par service. In addition to that they charge extra for mild sauce and don't provide any at all with the purchase of a meal. Before they combined/expanded Chicken Coop and the Family Pantry they provided more food options, were less expensive, they were more friendly, and the quality of the food was better. Although their chicken is still good, I will happily travel further for more chicken and fish that is just as good if not better, is less expensive, and comes with better customer service.
Hidden Gem!! Best fried chicken I’ve had in quite some time. We have had the chicken several times and it’s consistent every time. We are now regular customers. Can call ahead and order for pickup or go in and place your order. Other menu items are great also however, we mainly order chicken!! I’m happy we found them!!!
Hands down… the best chicken I’ve had in a while and the best food I’ve ever, really had in Chicago ????????♀️. They are located inside of the service center but the food was really good and I’ll be back.
We ordered the 40 piece wings, catfish, 2 Philly cheese steaks and okra and didn’t have one compliant.
Phone orders require you to pay over the phone but that wasn’t an issue and I totally understand the reason for it. If you haven’t been, you must try when you have a taste for something on their menu.
Hands down the best fried wings my husband and I have ever had. I was a bit upset they didn’t offer sauces like buffalo and ranch, but I spoke way too soon....the wings alone had the best flavor ever! They were super fresh, flavorful, and juicy. We will be ordering from them again very very soon!
I will say without the delivery apps I may have never found The Chicken Coop. But, I am glad I did.
What I love about this is that 1. It's real pieces of chicken. Size is great. 2. The breading and flavors is something that I would get from the south. 3. Smart about adding the slice of bread to make sure the food doesn't get wet from the condensation.
When I want something savory this is my place.
Catfish nuggets were fried cat Skin ! No meat just skin and bone ! Wings cheap meatless garbage . Received this order no sauces ! Second time ordering and again disappointed. 2 stars since shrimp were ok and fries were few but way more meat than catfish and wings
This place doesn't look like they would have good chicken but the chicken is actually fi. Crispy and seasoned right. The fries were good too. The only downside is that you have to pay extra for hot sauce when their minimum order is 20 wings!!! Come on now. Include sauce with the wings, especially if the order is that big.
Delicious is an understatement. So far everything on the menu that I have tried has been great! Chicken tenders are must. Jumbo Shrimp, catfish are fantastic.
