Intimate bar underneath the Arts Centre , hosts regular events , gigs , poetry performances , small plays . Also after selected films an informal cinema discussion is held to talk over that evenings show , (expertly run by Ben) .
Staff always friendly and helpful, very reasonable prices at the bar.
Just recently held the 25th Anniversary Film Quiz.
Always has a good real ale on hand pump unlike the vaults and Melbourne Brewery both Sam Smiths pubs in Stamford who have taken the hand pump out and only serve horrid keg beer. Can you believe it! What a backward step.
Not just a nice place for a quick pint or a G&T in the interval, the Cellar Bar also hosts monthly comedy nights that are well worth a visit.
Visited here tonight after reading the good reviews for the comedy, the venue is great however the headlining act was so bad, people were cringing!!!????????
Very dank and dark, it's fine for a midway show interval beer, but nothing more.
Everthing was clean and tidy, staff friendly and drinks were not too expensive.
Cozy bar in the Arts centre.
Comedy night was bursting at the seams...check out the next one on Fri 6th October.
