We've seen cheese self-service machines at the end of farm roads in Switzerland but never a cake fridge. The Cake Fridge was a great discovery! We called by on the Friday after Easter on our way back to Lerwick - too late for the cafe to be open, but we did get lovely cakes from the fridge which we enjoyed that night. The fridge had lots of nice things to choose from and I'd recommend stopping by even if you're running too late for the cafe: it's definitely worth it!! Small businesses are always worth supporting, especially with great cakes like here!! And the view is spectacular!
Friends had told me of this place and we were hoping to visit the fridge outside but saw that the cafe was open so didn’t want to miss out so went inside! What a delightful little place especially when taking shelter from the stormy weather outside! Lovely friendly staff and of course delicious cakes! Really hoping to visit again when visiting Shetland.
We had a wonderful experience at the cake fridge, they have a dog friendly area with great views and the staff was so warm and welcoming . If you are in the area and looking for something sweet this place is a must. From 11 am to 16 pm you can order inside and pay with card . Out of this time you have the fridge (cash only) where you can enjoy coffee/tea cakes and much more.

A wonderful experience! Charming hostess! Lovely old world feel with delicious home made ???? cakes & tea in a teapot with REAL tea cups! Spsrkling clean AND they cater for gluten intolerance. The views from the little shop are breathtaking. Definitely worth a visit!
Absolutely beautiful little cafe, out in the wilderness with amazing scenery all round. I tried all the cakes we bought and they were just delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to see all the animals too! Can't wait to come back again ????
Had a gluten free dairy free treat from the Cake Fridge. It was really good, probably one of the best I have had. It didn't taste gluten free at all. We didn't get to try the tea house they were not open this time of year. So you need cash for the honesty tin.
A beautiful drive to this remote little self-serve cake fridge. Cash only, there is an honesty box in one of the fridges. We visited between Christmas and New Year so the adjacent tea room was closed but a little picnic area was open. Excellent cake selection including vegan. The second fridge has a reasonably priced selection of regional souvenirs. Got some delicious cupcakes and a few little souvenirs.
Great place for a cup of tea and some cake.
It was sweet delicious ... for some too sweet. A faboulos place to return to.
