Food was lovely. A small menu but something for everyone. Really helpful, friendly and attentive. Yes it does look like a bit of a locals pub but we were made to feel very welcome.
Unfortunately the Turkish evening food wasn't anything really special. The first course was different and tasty but the rest was not value for money and not very tasty. It was on the bland side.
The pub itself was packed so they must be doing something right but it was a little tight for space. If you lived local and knew everyone I would think you would be pleased to have it on your doorstep.
We had a great night here with friends on New Year's Eve. The 3 bar staff were very quick and efficient at serving a busy pub. Excellent drink and wine. We ate at home so can't comment on the food. Definitely give it a try sometime. Great that it's very close and we are to be able to walk to it.
You should tell your bar staff that it is not against law to smoke outside in the public area which isn't your premises .Very foolish thing to be honest when a mate is walking past the bar smoking inside. Working in hospitality you should be more hospitable no ?

A very nice locals pub with good food. Pity the language of a few of the locals spoilt the evening. Staff very pleasant, will definitely be back when in the area again
Lovely cozy pub. Obviously well used by the locals so great atmosphere. Very friendly welcome, lovely food and drink. Wish this was our local!
Called in for drinks on Christmas Day and Boxing day as we were staying nearby at the Campsite. The staff were really friendly and everybody in there looked like they were having a great time. Would love to return one day
Jolly little pub that appeared to be hosting a team competition from rival pubs when we were there which added to the previously quiet atmosphere. Possibly pool as there was a spacious pool room. Although the interior was old it was very clean and tidy and reminiscent of village pubs of bygone times. The drinks choices were varied and reasonably priced. Although we didn't eat the menu looked quite simple and wholesome with vegan and gluten free choices but sadly missing a pie. Definitely worth calling if you are in the area or passing on the walk to Dunster. No food service on Mondays.
