Stayed overnight for a couple of nights. The room we stayed in was standard but was comfortable had everything needed. There is a shared bathroom between the four rooms, and an additional toilet. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the food was delicious and there is a great lake for fishing or even a nice walk!
Friendly staff and comfortable clean bed, but they're the only things going for it.
Stayed just one night of the three booked.
Food and drink expensive.
Fire detector left without battery overnight.
Room, in dire need of repair and decoration, very noisy in the evening from music in the bar below.
Shared bathroom with three other rooms, but pleasantly decorated.
Most definitely won't be going back!
We stayed one night, pub stopover. Nice area to park the Motorhome for the night. Not many facilities. Situated by fishing lakes. Staff really friendly, we had a drink in the Pub in the evening. Limited food menu, didn't fancy what was on offer.
The village, had little supermarket, fish and chip shop. Convenient free stopover, you have to the pub. Quiet close to the road, did not hear any road noise.
Really poor experience here im afraid. I arrived with friend at 6.45pm only to be told they close at 7.30pm but will remain open to 8pm for us. They said the drinks we pay for will not cover electricity! The beers on tap were mostly unavailable. The chairs and tables were poor, uncomfortable, and from decades ago. They were office chairs rather than proper seating. As we waited to be picked up early, the vacuum cleaner was in action around us. Pretty shocking stuff and will never return.
Just had a really lovely meal here with the kids. New chef apparently. The kids fish and chips was really well done with beautifully cooked chips and really lightly battered white fish. I had satay chicken to start with jerk chicken for main and that was really good too. Nicely cooked and well presented. Very good value too.
Stopped off here for a sandwich and drink to break up the journey and so glad we did. Food was excellent and they even went out of their way to prepare a chicken breast for our dog. Large outside garden for the dog to run about in. Whilst we were there cyclist and young families turned up so it seems like a very popular local pub.
Wonderful hospitality, great breakfast, quirky rooms, highly recommended.
As a family of four we had a really good meal at the Bridge Inn on the 28th August. We dined early and the restaurant was quiet and our meals arrived promptly. All of us were fully satisfied. We also enjoyed our puddings and they even did a special order of chocolate brownie, ice cream and cold custard for our 7 year old. Finally our waitress was charming and added to our experience. The price was fair and I would thoroughly recommend ????.
