We did not eat here tho the service for our drinks was quick, and the guy behind the bar was lovely.
Felt welcome, and everyone there was lovely, too.
Will be going again at some stage, I'm sure, and this time, I'll win a game of pool. Haha
Brilliant the man behind the bar was so helpful, friendly and accommodating. Prices were good too.
No food as such bit cobs crisps n nuts etc. Great music. Excellent patrons. Good times.
Working in Walsall and just popped in on the way back to work. Nice pint and the cob was really tasty
Popped in had a shandy and watched match to kill time whilst DD was at swimming lesson, ample parking, plenty of outdoor seating to rear and a nice covered area, nice pub general people were nice, I would pop in a agin.
Technically, this place is our local, but we’d not visited before, we were passing so my wife, young son and I popped in for a drink. We found The Brickmakers to be unfriendly and unwelcoming; not so much as an ‘Hello’ from the staff.
After a while someone came over saying, “No kids after 9 o’clock”, what would have cost to have said, “Hi guys, welcome, nice to see you. I’m afraid we don’t allow children after 9, is that OK?” Just a little basic customer service?
Oh, and the beers aren’t great, all the standard stuff you can find everywhere, nothing special and no real ales. The locks on the cubicles in the gent’s toilets were both broken, the hand dryer didn’t work and there were no paper towels.
This all seems like the fundamental basics of running a pub. If I were you, I’d leave it to the regulars who did seem to enjoy the place.
Great day out..... Be aware parking is 6 pound for the day. Still a cheap day out if you can't afford to donate to the museum.
Nice local pub. Cobs available, decent prices, nice staff
