Well I have just had the misfortune of attending and playing in a darts match at this hell hole played my match which I drew 2.2 good game sat back down and after a constant 30 minute barrage of listening to a f ING this and f ing that I turned and said excuse me my daughter is with me and I do not come out to sit and listen to this im sure there is a tap room or a car park somewhere he could go and sit only to be told he's sat with the landlady /manager I left the pub only to find on my return I was being taken the wee oit of whilst away but not only return if the owners of this establishment find this kind of behaviour is fine frome there managers well I wouldnt like to meet them
Always enjoy the Bowling Green for a pint or two. Very often some excellent bands play on a Friday evening. Shame too often find some unpleasant types in or outside the pub being a bit edgy or aggressive. Would security on the door make matters better or worse? - I don't know. Being such a popular Horwich destination simply draws in a few wrong 'uns. Won't stop me going in however. Keep up the good work all the staff at the BG.
Decent pub, large selection of ales. Friendly staff. I'd recommend checking the place out if you are in the area.
What a lively pub! Staff were very friendly. Drink prices are very reasonable. We didn't eat here we only came on the evening to watch the band Woodstock here. As always, they were great. Interacted with the appreciative audience, who were dancingand singing along. The atmosphere was brilliant.
Looking forward to visiting this pub again.
Staff have no idea what beer should taste like and happily sell sour ale. When confronted they deny it's off and refuse to give us a better pint.
Maybe employ people who know how to maintain kegs properly
They don’t do food anymore even though it’s advertised outside, great atmosphere, great music, and friendly staff.
Great friendly atmosphere even had gluten free lager big plus
