I live in Derby where chippy fish is not skinned, so battered fish here is always dry and chewy.
Whilst staying with my son for the weekend I was introduced to this chippy, and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed my fish chips and mushy peas.
The fish was beautifully cooked, creamy and succulent with crispy batter. The chips and peas were also great.
Staff were friendly and efficient. I'll be back every time I visit .....

???? Upon your arrival, you are greeted by a very nice gentleman, who I presume is the manager. The service is rather fast despite the fact it is almost always busy!

The food here is good. Today i called in and had chips and gravy in a tray along with 2 fritters. I nearly fell through the floor when the till came up with £9.20. I know stuff is / has gone up but best part of 10 quid for chips and gravy with 2 fritters is way expensive in my mind.
Proper good chippy, I work close by and go regular. Always friendly, and always nice food.
The best chip shop in the area! My partner introduced me to The Blue Ocean and I'm happy to say that he was not exaggerating on the quality! I live in the Blurton area and I'd honestly say it's worth the drive, rather than getting a chippy from down the road! We've never been disappointed by a meal from The Blue Ocean - please do give it a try!

I previously put a positive review on this chippy as the food is nice. I recently used the chippy and had a 2 piece and chips which was about £6 (late putting the review on so can't remember exactly) and got 1 scoop of chips ???? after having my one piece of bread with chips on I was left with about 5 chips in my box. Chips tasted lovely but there just was nowhere near enough.
They are absolutely fantastic!!! Lovely food-love those chips made from the scratch! Lovely fish and burgers as well!!But what I like most of it is the staff! They are absolutely amazing! Thank you guys for always been so kind and drop our food next door! ????
