Nice little pub. We got a seat straight away by the open log fire. It was cosy and a warm welcome after the blustery conditions. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. The white wine wasn't up to much but the 80s music videos playing on the TV was a good flashback to our younger years.
The Black Swan is a proper traditional pub in the heart of Whitby. There is a good choice of excellent quality beer and a nice selection of wine. A really friendly welcoming pub the staff are friendly, it's a nice cosy unspoiled community pub.
Have various different items from knifes to tobacco to touch's and plenty of other items definitely a place to check out. This is not a pub it's the black swan shop. They sell all sorts definitely worth a look.

Dog friendly. Friendly staff. Old school boozer. Only slight let down was the beer garden could do with sprucing up but was only there for a quick pint. Looked like there was live music on Friday night so should be a good night out in there.
Stopped in for a quick drink. Very cozy pub in Whitby.
