A lot of the items on the menu weren’t even available. My husband had a cheese and pickle wrap and it just leaked out all over his plate. It is definitely a quirky place! There were a lot of vegetarian options but when I went to order stuff they didn’t have it available
We recently visited The Bay Tree Vintage Tea Room, and it was truly incredible! The decor, reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland, added a whimsical charm to the tearoom that I absolutely loved. The Wonderland-themed menu was a delightful touch, and the overall experience was fantastic.
The teapots were impressively large, perfect for tea enthusiasts like myself. The wide selection of tea flavors to choose from was a pleasant surprise.
As for the food, it was top-notch and offered great value with generous portions. I opted for the Welsh Breakfast, which was spot on. My wife had the Brie, bacon, and cranberry baguette, and my sons ordered the bacon and maple syrup pancakes, and the sausage and eggs bap as the the pancakes my son claims are the best he's ever had. We certainly had our fill!
The atmosphere in the tearoom was fantastic, and it was packed with people, creating a lively ambiance. We will definitely be returning for another visit. From the moment we walked in to saying our goodbyes, the staff, especially Jody, provided exceptional customer service. Thank you for your recommendation.
This place is truly magical, and I highly recommend a visit down the rabbit hole. It will make you feel as mad as a hatter, in the best way possible! We absolutely loved it. Everything about our experience at The Bay Tree Vintage Tea Room was great, and we give it a well-deserved 10/10 for its customer service and the spoonful of magical delights it offers. Don't miss out on this wonderful experience!
Visited Saturday just gone, and it was incredible. Loved the decor, we sat in the Alice of Wonderland part of the tearooms, and it was just fantastic. Even the menu was all out of Wonderland!!
The teapots were extremely big, which is great if you are a tea lover like myself. There are so many flavours to choose from. The baguettes and ciabiattas were filled to the brim with tasty food. All come with side salad and taco chips.
We certainly had plenty to eat and drink. The atmosphere was great, and the whole place was packed out . We shall definitely be returning. It certainly cheered us up on a rainy dull day. Everything was great from when we walked into saying our goodbyes. Great good, staff and atmosphere with a spoonful of magical delights. It's most definitely worth a visit down the rabbit hole! It will make you feel as mad as a hatter!!!! Enjoy the journey
Been here a few times on our way to Barmouth. The food is always fresh and tasty and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. They have a wide selections of different teas and a great atmosphere. Well worth a visit when in Welshpool.
The service was slow. We had full Welsh breakfast and Welsh vegetarian breakfast. Mushroom were cold, eggs undercooked and chewy sausages. Hash browns, beans, toast and tea were fine. We paid £27 and for that price we expected better quality.
The music was really nice and the place itself is nice. Our waitress was lovely but there was another lady at the till that looked a bit stressed out and asked the waitress to work faster (found that a bit unprofessional to do when customers around).
Quirky place, seems to be a different movie/subject for each room. Lots of cool memorabilia and props.
The full English here is great, seriously tasty. Please bring back the bigger single mushroom though instead of the small ones. Service was good, friendly staff.
Great quirky place to visit , we both had sandwiches, which were really nice , and the service good, although it was slow for some people who had been waiting for a while , it was good Friday though , I think they were short staffed as every table needing clearing and because of this we were seated at a table which was actually a large trunk on the floor, not the best to eat at , but we did our best .
We stopped for lunch after visiting Powis Castle. What a fab find! Lunch was super with lots of choice on the menu and a lovely friendly atmosphere! Highly recommend the donut ???? ???? milkshakes! Decor is fun ????! Drop in you won’t be disappointed!
