Kindly kept the kitchen open till 2.30pm for us to get some lunch, after we phoned ahead to say we were delayed on our walk along the Thames Path. Food was just what we wanted - freshly made sandwiches, smoked salmon with dill in one, BLT with delicious back bacon just cooked in the other, plus side salad and some chips. Friendly owner and staff, very welcoming. Attractive pub in this pretty village.
A short detour from the Thames Path. Sunday roast mid afternoon was delicious. Specials available too. Nice wood burner and large garden area outside. Good range on tap. Friendly and welcoming staff.
What a lovely local pub!! I highly recommend this beautiful pub snuggled in the countryside. The owners and staff were so welcoming and friendly. They were knowledgeable about gluten free and we had a delicious meal. There was even a gluten free home made sticky toffee pudding. So exciting to have a choice for once. There was a gorgeous wood burner which kept us lovely and warm throughout.
Nice to find an old style pub, low ceilings with beams, large old fireplace, plenty of places to sit inside and out with a large car park. Had a look at the menu but only called in for a drink, food did look nice and seemed a lot of local sourced beer and food, think you may have to book for food just to be on the safe side.
We made a return visit here after a holiday 2 years ago and were glad we did. Very friendly, helpful staff and great food. Nice pizzas available outside too.
Found this gem of a pub on a walking weekend. How pubs should be! Great food. Great atmosphere. Great landlord.
What can we say. Staff friendly and attentive. Food amazing go far as saying best we've had for sometime. Great selection of wine and great value. A wonderful evening. Thank.you
Pub itself was lovely and the service was great, but the food was shockingly bad and expensive. Had the macaroni cheese (£15-17) which was bland and lukewarm & a chicken burger (£17) which tasted like something you'd get in a cheap high street cafe. Would definitely go back, but just for drinks.
