Probably the best sandwich I’ve ever had. In fact, almost certainly the best sandwich I’ve ever had!
I’ve passed here loads of times over the years but never thought to stop until day after hearing their sandwiches are excellent.
I got a parsnip and cumin soup as well as a Cajun chicken sandwich with red onion and jalapeños.
The soup was great, lovely earthy tones and quite a deep flavour. It was £2.70.
The sandwich was £3.50 and absolutely jam packed. The first indication I had was the weight of the box when it was handed over. The bread was beautiful, fresh cooked with a lovely soft inside but nice crunchy/chewy crust. Almost like crusty bread. The filling which was heaped in was delicious.
Service was also good, had my order within about 2 minutes. Was lucky enough to arrive at a time when there was no queue.
It is cash only so just make sure you have some money when you visit.
Without a doubt, along with perhaps one other, this is the best sandwich in Dundee. The freshest hand cut bread with fantastic fillings. I had roast beef on mustard mayo and rocket. Beautiful moist home cooked beef, slightly pink and cut very thick. BTW 3 slices !!
Amazing Coffees for a brilliant price!
This is my go to for coffee now. For anyone the properly enjoys coffee (without sugar or syrups but traditional proper coffee) this is the place for you. Their coffee is superb and brewed without bitterness.
I would say if you’re not a lover of coffee without adding sugar or syrups like what you would get from Starbucks etc, this place probably isn’t for you. But for those that love coffee, this is the best coffee in Dundee I’ve tried (with exception to the beans you can brew at home from Braithewaites)
Really nice and classic tram in the middle of Dundee. I should have gone for a sandwich which has a really nice review. But I ordered the flat white which might not suit my style of coffee. It was too bitter and woody for me.
The service was really friendly and they did warn me that only cash was accepted. So make sure you have some cash.
I just had a Roasted Beef Sandwich, it was delicious!!! Generous size at fair price!!! Definitely recommend.
Always loved coming here but we have became veggie so not too many options for us now. Had to go for the ploughman's. Amazing fresh bread and plenty filling and always u usual beautiful soup. Need more veggie choices though! Xx
Excellent sandwich absolutely packed, nice bread and really tasty, good coffee too. The prices are also very reasonable but it's cash only which in 2022 can only be hurting their business.
Read the reviews on here so decided to look it up and give it a try. Awesome sarnies and cakes too. Definitely worth a visit when you're in Dundee.
