We went for dinner and had a lovely meal. The lady behind the bar was very friendly and helpful.
We had the pate for starter and then the fish pie and mussels for main.
The mussels serving was enormous and could almost feed 2 people.
Fantastic pub. The atmosphere is brilliant. The food tastes amazing, the service was fantastic, the staff are all extremely polite and helpful. I will say, though, that desserts and sandwiches are very expensive. Main courses are very fairly priced though for the quality of food you are getting.
Absolutely love it here, the nautical theme and history on the walls is both fascinating and makes for a great decor. Then of course the food is just banging, the beer is amazing + the staff are always lovely. My favourite pub to eat and drink in at Lynmouth! If you're wondering what to eat on the menu, don't hesitate with literally any ploughmans or the fishcakes!
Amazing food. It really is. The only reason for marking down Re service and atmosphere is that there was only one member of staff behind the bar and one serving the food. It did create bit of delay in getting served and plates weren't cleared very quickly. Please don't let this put you off though, the food is WELL WORTH it. Can I also say that on 2 previous visits the food was still amazing and staffing didn't seem an issue.
Went in expecting standard pub grub but, was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I had fish and chips with (real!) mushy peas, delicious, crisp batter and really tasty cod. My other half had moules mariniere which she said was rich and creamy with good quality meaty mussels.
Really nice bar and cracking views, lots of great outdoor space if the weather is kind, good selection of beers, delighted to see blue moon.
In the restaurant, food is fantastic, staff great, especially Megan who goes above and beyond everyone else, respect
Visited on numerous occasions. Great pub. Lovely food. Slight issue with our bill as overcharged - paid for previous customer's drinks ! Thank goodness we checked our banking app. If pub had been busier, it may have been harder to check/prove. All sorted with a smile and we were back in the following evening!
We visited a couple of times and both visits the food was fantastic.
I had the mussels again today and they were delicious, bigger and better than anything I’ve had in Brittany and on par with a awesome place I use in port en bessin Normandy .

Looking forward to coming back in the summer to sit on your new outside terrace . Well done guys, you should be very proud of what you’ve done here.
