We have always had such great service from this garage! Great family business. We were very appreciative when we had to be fitted in for an MOT last minute. Everyone who works here always does a fantastic job and are always very friendly. Prices have always been very reasonable. We would highly recommend this garage to anyone. Wouldn’t want to go anywhere else!

I can't recommend Albion Road Garage enough. I have taken my cars here for years and even though i've moved from city centre i still drive here for all my services, MOTs and general issues. I am not sure where i would go if i didn't have them. I can fully trust they will be 100% honest, do what's best for the car and explain everything thoroughly. They will also always try to offer the most cost effective option which just doesn't happen as much now, most garages are time pressed and they will do what's quickest, not what's best. Anytime anyone asks where to take their car i don't hesitate to recommend Albion Road and i never have to worry that they won't meet expectations, as they always go above and beyond. Thank you for all your support!
Please avoid this garage at all costs. They do not care about their customers - quite the opposite actually, they threaten them!
After my MOT failed on Friday 15th March, I was faced with making a decision about the expensive repairs needed for it to pass. I admittedly took quite a while to get back to them and book in for the retest however there was still a week before the 10 working day cut off. They told me that I should have got in touch with them sooner as they've got no availability before the 10 days are up. This was on Monday 25th, it would have taken 20 minutes max to retest it (I verified this with another mechanic) and would have been an opportunity to display excellent service but fair enough!
On the same day, they offered to charge me half price for my second full MOT after they were unable to book me in for a retest. This seemed like a nice gesture to which I accepted and they booked me in for the retest on Tuesday, 9th April.
Now what followed is frankly, unbelievable.
They made a recommendation for a welder to carry out the work when the MOT failed. At the time, this was exactly what it seemed like - a recommendation. With that said, I kindly ignored their suggestion and decided to go to another welder who seemed just as legitimate and offered to do the work at a much lower price, which any reasonable person would.
Upon arriving at the garage to collect my car, I was shown the card machine which was set to charge the full price. I kindly pointed out that this was a mistake and that I believe they agreed for me to pay half price. They said "No, that was before you got the work done with someone else, we were only going to give you it at half price if I went with the guy they recommended". I pointed out that this was never part of the agreement and at no point was it suggested that there was strings attached to that offer.
I refused to pay anymore than half and they immediately became hostile and said something along the lines of "Okay, we'll only charge you half but we've got customers from around this area so don't go looking your neighbours in the eye" Whether that was a threat or what, I don't know, but certainly not pleasant. They even had the cheek to tell me not to come back! Don't worry, I won't!
Upon exit, I overheard them refer to me with a derogatory term. How professional...
