I stayed here for four nights. Room was good a nice size and a comfortable bed. Breakfasts were fine. David and John were excellent hosts . The Inn is a good old fashioned pub, good drink and really friendly folk in Newburgh. Brilliant beer garden at the back if warm enough. Newburgh was great for me as it allowed me to meet friends and family, bike around the area and visit the Lindores Abbey Distillery for one of their special celebrations. The Inn is also in the Fife Coastal path so would be handy for walkers. I had my cycle and was touring around and I could pick it up at night.
I have visited before, and no doubt will visit again. Super friendly welcome from Davey and John, couldn’t ask for any better. Comfortable beds, lovely warm room, and perfect little perks such as tea, coffee, and even some crisps! Lovely facilities and safe comforting atmosphere when you’re away from home. Highly recommended.
We had a great time here today! A great environment and perfect beer garden! Great for events! Friendly and helpful staff!
Stayed here for one night, the owner could not have been more welcoming or friendly. The room was clean and well kitted out and the en-suite bathroom was really nice also. With TV, tea/coffee making facilities (with shortbread and sweeties supplied!) The breakfast was very good and in the nice setting of the lounge bar, complete with open fire!|
Driving through Newburgh looking for somewhere to eat on a Sunday we were surprised to note all the cafes in the High Street were shut, however on the way out just before the petrol station we noticed the Abbey Inn. From the outside it doesn't look like the place to get a great meal but it was. When you enter the through the front door (mind your head if you are over 6ft, the lintels are quite low) to the left is the bar to the right is the dinning room. We opted to eat through in the bar because the dinning room was busy, we ordered our drinks and food, steak pie and a gourmet burger. At the time we were informed the food might take a little longer because they were busy but it came out quite quickly. Both dishes tasted really nice no complaints about any of it, the server's were polite, prompt and well presented. Great wee traditional place to eat and at a great price, steak pie and gourmet burger with 2 pints of juice less than £20.
Visiting Newburgh we stayed at the Abbey Inn for one night and were very warmly welcomed on arrival. After the game we visited the bar and again found the locals very friendly. David, the owner, was on hand the following morning to organise our breakfast which was very good. Our room was well equipped with Tea and Coffee making facilities, hairdryer and various toiletries.
This is an excellent ancient hostelry, which keeps a very low and modest profile, in the main street of historic Newburgh, offering a very friendly welcome and first class value for money. My room was clean, comfortable, tastefully and even a little luxuriously, decorated, with en suite shower room and equipped with everything you could possibly need for an overnight stay. I have paid more than twice as much for accommodation that was nothing like as good. The cooked breakfast was generous and well-cooked and presented. Top marks all round!
Popped in for a fry up with the kids. A decent plate of all the usual scottish fry up fair with plenty of tea and toast to complement and cheap prices too!!! will definitely be back for more. Heard good things with regards pub lunches here and will pop back to sample.
