Best KPortal Reviews
The wait times on any platform Deliveroo, Uber eats or Just eat. Take them with a pinch of salt. If it says 1 hour 5 mins double it because the food takes ages, if you call your “next in the queue” when ultimately it’s about 30mins to an hour away from coming.
The food is nice but not with those wait times I won’t be ordering from here again unfortunately.
One of the worst takeaways I've ever recieved.
Most of the food was luke warm/ cold on arrival.
The chicken satay was 4 small pieces of reconstituted chicken on a skewer with a very medicore dipping sauce.
The only passable main dish was Pad Thai but considering we paid £2 for a prawn version of the dish more than 3 prawns was expected! The Red Thai "chicken" curry was mostly watery with a small amount of constituted chicken, the beef dish we ordered was also watery and a very small amount of protien or vegetables.
The rice was in a league of its own - sticky rice is one thing but this was a (tiny portion - barely half of a small takeaway container) brick, it couldn't even be broken up with a knife and fork!
Really disappointed with this place, in future if we get Thai in Canterbury we'll phone and pick up from either of the restaurants. This place is not worth your money.
Love this place! Food is consistently delicious and made with authentic Thai flavours. The tamarind duck is especially amazing! :)
Just had a really tasty meal. Delivered quickly, so still hot. Fresh and beautifully cooked. Thank you!
Took nearly 3 hours to get a small £23 order.
Only one delivery person working on a Saturday, the busiest time.
Gave 2 stars because the food is ok, however having dinner for the kids at 930pm is not ideal.
They've finally lost my custom. Too many issues of past including paying over £37 for 5 dishes of which 4 were 60/70% buffed out with broccoli to fill the container. I estimated we could have probably filled two of the containers packed with just the broccoli.
Very speedy delivery. Food delicious, hot and full of fresh ingredients - generous portions sizes. Lovely
Totally unreliable:
At or about 4.30pm I ordered a takeaway meal to be delivered at 7.30 pm
At 8.05 pm I contacted the restaurant to ask where the food was. I was informed that the restaurant had, without any warning or notice, rescheduled the delivery to a later time. I asked when the delivery could be expected and was told another 50 minutes. I cancelled the order as that would have been too late to eat.
At 9.20 pm almost 2 hours after the originally scheduled time, a courier arrived with the cancelled order. I refused to accept delivery as it was far too late.
A complete failure. The restaurant obviously does not have capacity to deliver on time.
To add insult to injury, the Uber driver claimed his £6 tip, which we had agreed to in advance. Lesson learned!
We were excited when this place opened but based on our first visit we won't be returning. My Thai red curry just tasted of fish sauce and salt, the vegetables in it looked suspiciously uniform (mass produced and straight from a bag in the freezer I assume) and the whole thing was just a bit sad. The other dish was chicken and cashew, definitely not Thai style but Chinese cooking by numbers. Again, very bland and unappealing . The starters were very slightly better but the Thai prawn crackers were burnt and if they can't even get that right then it's probably a sign! Sorry Thai City, we really wanted to love you but you were completely average.
