We went to Terry's for late lunch while on holiday and visiting Whitby. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble, even bringing a water bowl for our greyhound to have a drink, Yes they allow dogs inside. Would highly recommend ????. We will be going back.
One of the best if not the best of outside London haddock fish and chips I've had. Omg.
The restaurant was well decorated and had a good seating layout. Well spaced. The staff were friendly. Prices were well balanced for the amazing meal we had.
Platter for two is well worth it. ????

Food was ‘ok’ but pricey for what we had x2 small fish and chips and a large , and small chips and sausage, with 2 drinks - £70, fish is thin, but welcomed dogs so was best choice for us for a sit down out of the wind and staff were friendly
Thought we would treat ourselves while in whitby and I had the cod and chips and daughter had chicken nuggets and chips both where very good friendly helpful staff and really enjoyed it
Had read mostly positive reviews and knew was dog friendly throughout so suited us. Efficiently seated and served by lady running the front of house...she was welcoming and also chatty with locals & us 'grockles'. Son proclaimed the best calamari rings ever...they were a highlight, 2 portions, 1 scampi and chips and 1 nugs chips btw 3 of us. 3 cloudy lemonades was a warm day. Chips ok maybe a bit greasy and a bit more crispy would be good. Scampi also good quality...Whitby after all! All in all would return. Imagine gets busy but once seated never felt rushed.

My go to chippy at Whitby and the Food is amazing and very fresh , wait times are never long and the. Staff are super helpful and friendly. , the place is very clean and modern

Good quality fish and chips here and good portions to eat in or take away. Dogs are welcome inside too. Staff were all very friendly and service was very quick, even though they were busy.
We had a wonderful meal at Terrys restaurant this evening. It was a really cold day in Whitby and we were just about to go back to the car to head home when we passed what looked like a lovely place AND they were dog friendly too! Staff were all absolutely fantastic from the moment we walked in. We hadn’t even taken our seats and they brought water over for our pup. The food and the desserts were gorgeous! Definitely recommend the cinder toffee sundae and apple crumble. The place had a wonderful bistro feel to it and it was just so cosy, music and lighting created a lovely atmosphere too, especially on the dark nights.
We absolutely loved it and will be back soon.
