We dropped in for brunch and a bit of souvenir shopping. We chose the salmon platter…. Unbelievable delicious, service with a smile, take out no issue, a small business doing a superb job. Thank you for making our last breakfast in the highlands so memorable!
Me and my wife had a lovely afternoon in the cozy little cafe with Scottish made gifts, it had amazing selection of cakes and goodies with a very lovely coffee. My wife bought a lovely sweatshirt. the cafe come little shop was reasonably priced.
Coffee was from a machine and wasn’t very good. Main issue was I ordered the runny scotch egg. It was not runny at all and was close to hard boiled. I raised this with staff who said the sign is wrong and they need to change it. No apologies, no alternative offered. If they know their sign is wrong why not mention it when I asked about the scotch egg initially?!
Think I was either lied to/fobbed off and the staff overcooked the scotch egg accidentally, or if not then it’s just a pure scam to make something sound much better than it actually is.
Icing on the cake was no apology or acknowledgement they’d messed up. Was £4.95 for the warm runny scotch egg (which wasn’t runny at all). Was akin to a supermarket scotch egg warmed in the microwave.
100% would not recommend.
Lovely gift shop with nice attentive staff and an excellent lemon drizzle cake. Bought quite a few little things including a beautiful aromatic candle.
Lovely little shop with possibility to have something to drink and eat a lovely piece of cake
Sought out this place to support a local independent business. Lovely little shop on the seafront with a couple of tables outside to sit and enjoy the coffee and a view of the harbour. Selection of tray bakes and other cakes (marsbar cake comes recommended) hot beverages and a few savoury takeaway options like homemade sausage rolls.
Had a quick browse of the non-edibles and was taken by the array of nice locally made products.
Staff were very friendly and eager to help.
Support people like these and keep Costa and other big brands from these lovely little towns.
We stopped for tea and cake on our road trip NC500 route around Scotlands north cost. Lovely ladies, tea and coffee were decent however cakes were amazing. Excellent location looking out the loch and a lovely back drop of mountains. A lovely place to enjoy a cup of tea.
Most importantly what stood out for me was how clean and very well presented their bathrooms/toilets were.
Excellent sandwiches and fabulous fresh cake, followed by coffee.
