Loved it 1st time will return . It's a one stop shop mum ,dad, kids ., Mum perused the plants dad bought beer at the on site brewery, the kids played and did activities. Then to the cafe choice of 3 !! tea and cakes great day out . Prices could do with some tuning but we will go again definitely maybe with a packed lunch tho .
Had a potter round on a Sunday morning, some great little shops a couple have things from days gone by, a very nice cafe, a very naughty chocolate and cake shop ???? a great garden centre and saving the best till last, The Forest Brewery Tap Room ???? a must for ale lovers, they do sell other drinks too. A park for the kiddies and a crazy golf course. Car boot sale on Sundays, unfortunately cancelled this time due to weather, Ample free parking, we had a great morning out ????????
I like it here. Peaceful little place. Good cafe and nice little trinket shops for all.
I noticed there's a cool little bar around the back too.
Free to use toilets . Free ample parking. Good place to arrange a classic car meet.
Comprehensive range of shops including great nursey where excellent plants apparently grown on premises (unlike most garden centres). Centre included eating place, but we arrived near closing, so promise to return when back in area.
A lovely hidden gem. Lots of little craft shops with handmade items and even an eco shop, with whole goods. A lovely cafe with residents serving the customers, politely and with a smile. I come here every so often and always leave with lovely unique things. Everyone is always warm here and helpful.
A charming and wonderful day out!
If you need to buy presents, or simply want a relaxing browse through a casket of wonders, this is the place to come! There is a wide range of arts and crafts, pottery and glassware, beautifully presented and reasonably priced. At its heart is the kitchen that is excellent and caters to all dietary needs.
Taurus is run by an effective team of people of mixed abilities and has an ethos of inclusiveness. It offers both to the community and visitors alike, providing a base for independent crafts people and opportunities for people with disabilities.
The place is welcoming and essential. Check it out!
I had the idea to head there, via the train station in Lydney. It's about a mile to walk, and then through town and an orchard. If you drive, it appears as though the main through road passes by outside.
I went there to shop at Green Man Gatekeeper, and didn't know what to expect when I got there. It's a lovely little place with a lovely ethos, and some great little shops that are owned by indie creators and sellers.
If you have an hour or so to burn, and you're in the area, I recommend it.
Lovely selection of artisan shops. From wax melts, jewellery, glass artist and gifts. There was also a Christmas market on which was lovely. The garden centre at the back was very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend a visit here.
