Hi,Im very disgusted and unhappy with chips whitch I buying in this restaurant "Tasty Plaice" because chips was discusting and chorrible ! I paying more than £10 for two portion and I think that was waiting of money ! Im not recommend this restaurant for noone...
Health and Safety covid review - No hand sanitiser for customers on display. Once customers have placed their order they are asked to wait out side the shop in all weather conditions.Waiting times between 15 to 40 minutes.
Staff wearing face masks but no catering gloves or washing hands been visible at any time of this visit.
Pay by cash only at time of ordering.

Quality of food review- Cod placed in same chip bag, not wrapped separately from hot greasy chips.
At home cod soggy and broken up. Pea fritter tasteless in thick batter. Pickle onion tough to cut and tastes strange.

Today's review: Used to be the best fish and chips in Southampton, today's delivery was late, cold and the batter on the fish was thin and soggy. Fish and batter are now the same quality as a supermarket. Massive shame and ill be visiting in person to complain. Been a patron since 2016 and unless they bring back the quality this will be the last time.
We had delivery whilst staying down at family's, chips weren't fresh and had a reheated , stale taste about them. Soggy battered sausage and curry sauce was tasteless and watery. Only positives were it was quick and delivered, although they weren't willing to deliver to front door and wanted us to meet them-block of flats.
Always great service and great food and portion size always nice and hot and very friendly and welcoming,
The food is great. Chips are tasty and the cod is good with crispy batter. I try not to get a chippy tea too often but when I do I come here.
Great stuff
Edit: the place has recently been taken over but IMHO it's still a top chippie to visit. The chips are good, the cod I had last night was really tasty, crispy where it counts, soft and tender where it needed to be.
