Excellent food , top end pie and mash excellent service , taken over by new management couldn’t fault this place everything was spot on ????
Fab traditional Pie and mash. Pies are from top Eastend P& M shop.
Mash prepared onsite and is perfect , liquor full of flavour and nice and thick.

I have been using this cafe for years now and never really had any complaints until today… if you can’t deal with the amount of orders you have then stop taking orders until you’ve caught up, I’ve worked in restaurants and this is what we have to do in order to get the orders out on time and fresh. We waited for over 2 and a half hours for our breakfast! When it arrived it was hot but it was also soggy. The food was also very cheap quality, sausages with gristle and very salty bacon. When I voiced my concerns with a member of staff they said he won’t stop taking orders and they can’t cope. When speaking to the owner he was in denial and just said “oh you’re one of them that wants your money back aren’t you” keep my money because I have a feeling you’re gonna be refunding a lot of unhappy customers in the future you greedy man!
I love shafers cafe. Food is always good. I never feel like I'm having a takeaway.
Jacket potato always fluffy and soft. Curry, chilli cin carne I swear is homemade.
Prices are not bad considering the taste.
Great food fresh has always under new management
