Squeaky clean and good service. We ordered a Regular Fish with Large Chips and received a ton of 'em. The owner was really kind. Upon tasting the food it was amazing! The prices are fair and reflect the quality and quantity of the food.
Best Fish & Chips I can remember having. Everything was perfectly cooked. The fish had no skin and no bones at all and the batter was perfect - crispy and not greasy.
It was good value as well - reckon this'll be our new regular chippy from now on ????
Called in today for the first time since new management took over and had some of the best fish and chips in a long time. We were regulars under the previous owners and it looks like we'll be regulars again. Highly recommended!
Me and my family have ordered a few times from here since it has been under new management & it’s delicious. We actually prefer the food since it has been changed owners. The chap behind the counter is very friendly & even gave us our sauces, curry & gravy ect for free as a good will gesture. The food is really nice. Cannot complain at all. Tassttyyy ????

Amazing price for great food, lovely fish and chips. Really lovely staff, always a treat to speak to. The prices are too low in my opinion!!! Need to put them up, I would encourage everybody to try come here as the staff are lovely and the food and pricing is amazing.
Had Haddock and Chips from here and a chicken and mushroom pie. I've got to say, it's one of the best fish & chips I've had. Fantastic hand cut chips and the haddock was good quality with a light and crispy batter. Portion size was excellent. The chicken and mushroom pie was lightly spiced and delicious. Very reasonable prices too, especially for York. If you're in York, definitely check this chippy out.
Dry thin fish, rancid flavour - cooked in dirty oil, binned most of it. Yuck, awful.
