Surprisingly good drive very close to edinbrugh
Great spot just 1h drive from Edinburgh. Not too busy with tourists. Good parking spaces below the steep climb just passed the farm. Few good paths to take a walk.
So beautiful, so remote. If you want to go for a hike then this would be a good place to start.
The scenery is stunning. There was hardly anyone else about, so it felt like I had it to myself.

Lovely drive and amazing views.
Great location, lots of wee waterfalls to seek out. Just follow the Talla Water down under the road bridge to discover the falls. A whole series of falls to check out. Careful with the lower ones as they are not so easy to get to with the steep slopes. Cracking views though in my favourite part of the Scottish Borders. Well worth a visit in my opinion.
