On holiday and fancied a Chinese.
Happy to say Treasure House is much better than any other Chinese I’ve been too
We got the special sharing box, lemon chicken, salt and pepper chips, egg fried rice and sweet and sour chicken balls. Everything was cooked well, tasted great and you got a lot of it!!
Easy to order via phone and was really to collect within 15 mins
Only downside was its cash only and there is limited parking but the smal Tesco across the street has a cash machine
We had takeaway on Easter Sunday night 2024 at 6.45pm for collection at 7.30pm we had Salt and Pepper spare ribs, really meaty, no fat, salty and Chinese peppery, chopped fried onions and a delightfully thin chilli hot “gravy”. Delicious! No! Outstanding! Main course, chicken Szechuan extra hot, again outstanding, peppery, sweet, chilli hot, lots of ginger. Lemon chicken next, golden and crispy, served on a bed of pineapple chunks and a beautiful, tangy lemon sauce, Outstanding! Lastly Singapore Vermicelli, beautifully seasoned, plenty of prawns, charsiu, and chicken, need I type the O word? Free prawn crackers, total bill £27, for me fantastic price for the quality. And it was ready bang on 7.30pm. Thoroughly deserves 5 out of 5 stars.
Visited for the 1st time to this takeaway and the food we ordered was very nice.
Good Chinese and selection.
Only thing negative is they don't take card payments
OMG the biggest, nicest tofu I've ever had!!
Reasonably priced, good portion sizes. So good we went twice in our short stay away.
Quick service. Friendly enough. Shame about the food. The chow mein tasted like bland minestrone soup. I was expecting Chinese flavours like I would normally get at home. The chips didn't appear fresh and weren't great. I hope they were just having an off day and forgot to add the flavouring. Was a huge disappointment.
Food was awful, satay sauce tastes like seasoned tap water, the garlic and chilli king prawns smelt like feet that hadn't been washed for a week and don't get me started on the salt and chilli chips they were as soggy as a piece of toilet paper that's been sat at the bottom of the toilet for 3-4 business days but to be fair they took the time to only give you the smallest/thin chips they had cut that day and they managed to forget the chillis so that was a disappointment. You're only getting one star because it won't allow me to give no stars
Unfortunately this was a really poor meal. It takes a lot for me to leave food, but sadly it ended up in the bin. We ordered crispy, chilli prawns, but I'm pretty sure we were given the wrong order. It looked like sweet and sour, but the sauce was terrible. The vegetable curry was watery and tasteless and the chips were inedible. Such a shame as we waited quite a long time for it to be prepared too.
One of the worst Chinese meals I’ve had. I genuinely could have made something better using a jar from Tesco. The sweet and sour pork was tasteless and the Char Sui ginger and spring onion got thrown in the bin. Even the salt and pepper chips weren’t worth the calories. Take your business elsewhere and go off the island
