Tŷ Mawr House Holiday Cottages

My wife has a knack for finding great self catering holiday locations and she excelled herself with this gem. Perfect location, walks from the door, well equipped, great places to eat within walking distance, dog friendly. Absolutely perfect in every way. We'll be back again!

The dogs loved the outdoor space, despite us not having one of the enclosed gardens there is a massive, enclosed field where the dogs can run freely and safely. The cottages have everything you need and more and are so well equipped. We would definitely stay again and have recommended to family and friends.

We stayed here in The Coach in May to celebrate a birthday. The cottage was beautifully decorated, super comfortable and extremely well equipped! The bath and bed were particularly lovely. The local area is stunning and there were lots of good local walks. Loved it and can't wait to go back!

This is the second time we’ve stayed in The Cottage at Ty Mawr house. It really is fantastic here, the hosts are lovely and the accommodation is clean and beautifully decorated. Being dog friendly with an adjoining field to use is brilliant, our Labrador loves it! Such a relaxing place to stay in the beautiful surroundings of the Brecon Beacons. Whether you like sitting by the log burner or enjoying the great outdoors, you’ll enjoy staying here and want to come back time and time again.

What a fabulous holiday cottage! The cottage is finished to a very high standard and we were welcomed with fresh flowers in the living room and bedroom. Everything that you could need on a holiday was available. Our children loved the park area which was a stone's throw from our front door.

It was very peaceful and extremely clean and well kept. It is very accessible for the surrounding Brecon Beacons area.

The cottage is close to a playground, a local pub, the Brecon and Monmouthshire canal.

The setup at Ty Mawr Cottages is fantastic. Everything has been considered, and the thought and effort is reflected in the quality of the fittings and finish. Everything is high quality, from the modern tech and appliances to the furniture. The kitchen is very fully equipped and functional. The toilet/bathrooms are superb. Even the artwork is tasteful and fitting. It all makes for a feeling of luxury and freshness, unusual for a holiday cottage. The location is very good and accessible, and the surroundings are quiet and tranquil. The cluster of buildings of the old farm are lovely, set around a cobbled courtyard and lawn, and the expansive field you have access to is great to walk around and take in some of the ‘local backdrop’. The field is fully enclosed, which is great should you be bringing a dog, and the gates to the courtyard can also be closed, which again is great for four-legged companions. The proprietor-hosts live onsite in the main house, and are helpful and very pleasant to speak with. Parking spaces are plentiful and set well back from the road, privately enclosed and out of view. We stayed in The Cottage, and found it to be warm and cosy (the logburner was a treat we loved but didn’t need), and the water flow was strong and hot whenever you wanted it to be. The town of Brecon is less than 10 minutes away by car, and so you’d have easy access to supermarkets, takeaways, etc.. If you want to do some hiking, we’d recommend doing a loop (4-5 hours) within the beautiful valley of Cwm Oergwm, from your doorstep. Ty Mawr Cottages are a tremendous all-round easy, quiet, and very comfortable stay.

Fantastic holiday rentals, the accommodation 5star ,kitchen and fittings, well couldn't get any better, and the bathroom fittings etc were first class,I challenge anyone to find better in holiday accommodation. The person who is in charge was so pleasant and helpful. GIVE IT A TRY, YOU WON'T BE DISSAPPOINTED!!!
