Bland utterly flavourless and dry food. The egg fried rice isn’t proper fried rice it’s boiled mushy rice with NO egg in it. Seaweed burnt and flavourless, plain chow mein is £5.20 and tastes of absolutely NOTHING.
What a waste of £25. Wish I’d just made some rice and noodles at home now.
Do yourself a favour and don’t waste your money! Or travel to surrounding towns for a better Chinese and avoid this place!
I think it’s only busy because it’s the only takeaway in Buckden and there’s nowhere else to go, what a shame really!
The best chinese food I have ever had! Always coming back for this amazing chinese takeaway. Always fresh and hot food. Nice and friendly staff. Free prawn crackers with order over £12. The best food they have and i highly recommend, my favourite chicken chow main and sweet chilli shredded beef. With our last order we got free spring rolls not sure for what occasion but nice suprise. Lovely food for good price.
Update: after so many different chinese we have tried, this one is still the best. Keep coming back for this amazing food!
Food is shocking....avoid....nothing special about there special fried rice...lumps of meat placed on a bed of chilled rice with pink sauce on top....avoid the squid....sorry no need to avoid hardly there...if you like cloop with your sweet n sour chicken balls....order this you will not be disappointed....all in all never again....beef chow mein OK ???? maybe the chefs should spend a year in London and learn how it is done!!!!!...absolutely disappointed after all the reviews....
Best Chinese hands down, we’ve been recommended other places but nothing ever compares to the Sunflower House. Not once have we been let down, food always comes perfect, on time and always hot, staff are great especially Lisa. Love their salt and pepper chicken, the duck and the chow mein. We’ll never go anywhere else for a Chinese :)
Food was lovely, had really nice big prawns in sweet and sour prawn balls. ????????Staff were nice and friendly. Gave us lots of prawn crackers. Will definitely use again. ????????

My first time at this takeaway. Ordered House Special fried rice and Sweet and sour King Prawn balls.
The House Special rice was described as having meat and vegetables. Turned out to be peas and 3 slices of chicken beast meat and three slices of pork with the odd bit of shredded duck and some nonprescription pink sauce. The Prawn balls were undercooked and the soggy coating left on the prawns was unpalatable. I asked if there would be any Mushrooms to be told no just vegetables. All in all very disappointing. Will not go there again.
Really delicious food, generous portions and quick service. A huge menu with plenty to choose from too. It's only take away, and it doesn't look like much from the outside, but I really can recommend if you want yummy Chinese takeaway.
My partner and I frequently order from here; the food is always lovely and hot and the staff are always friendly!
