A friendly, cosy bar serving excellent steaks and pies. Service was friendly and efficient.
It was in January when we were there for my mom and dad 60th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, back in September, we were remembering my mom after her passing. They put on an incredible spread. Heard what we wanted and went above and beyond. They bent over backward to accommodate. It's unbelievable in this day and age. Thank you so very much for helping my father and our family. Went for lunch there today after reading the reviews.
Nearly empty on arrival although being told that they didn't have any vacancies at the time I wanted, the service was good and it was nice and warm.
The food was something else , it was awful frozen potatoes, frozen peas,Yorkshire pudding ,stuffing all for £14 for 1 course. Caught sight of the chef he looked a mess ,dirty and unkempt, who writes the positive reviews staff maybe .There is much much better out there and cheaper. I for one will not pass their threshold again. Oh and bye the way for £4.20 you can have a glass of red wine vinegar
Thank you for making my mum and dad's 60th wedding anniversary so special yesterday, fantastic food steak was outstanding lovely staff nothing was to much trouble we will be back ???? x
