We dined in at the sugar cane Chinese restaurant as we had high expectations but alas were let down as the food was cold and tasteless and the owner was outright dishonest trying to add extra items to our bill and charging £9 for tap water I went to use the gents only to find soiled underwear in the bin .so all in all I should say to any body avoid this place like the absolute plague. And try the local Italian instead

First time trying this Chinese, it was absolutely beautiful ???? Great meat in all dishes (super fussy when it comes to meat) . We ordered S&S CK balls - the batter was so light and tasty and all was breast meat. Satay sauce was amazing , real peanuts, very authentic. Such a relief to find somewhere so nice after a few bad experiences in the area. Definitely recommend trying !!

Probably my least favourite Chinese and worst value take away ever.

Driest egg fried rice, salt and pepper chicken was flavourless, chickenless and ridiculously small servicing when I requested it as a main.

All takeaway was uneaten except some pancake rolls

First time using this Chinese and we had a great experience. We ordered food on the website for delivery & within 30 mins the food was at the door. It was hot, reasonably priced and tasty. We will definitely use again.

Takeaway. Great ingredients - meat and veg and mushrooms and rice lovely. Prawns were pink and looked good quality. Only thing is curry sauce was watery and seemed rushed, and prawn balls batter was thin so prawns were mostly burned and hard.

First time here because my fave shuts Wednesdays. Bit pricey too.

An average takeaway. Nothing to write home about. Food wasn’t exceptional but not bad.

I chose a time slot and it was ready before it, that’s either a positive or a negative depending on situation.

The prawns in my house special chow mein were quite small and there was a lot of chicken, so not really what I had in mind. I’ve had wonton soup from here before in the past and it lacked flavour.

There is a lot of potential for this place, it’s just not there yet for me. However, they have an easy to use website so that is a bonus!

I can see take away is popular as the food was delicious. But the front of house was Mardy, the decor hasn't been touched since 1975 and it was devoid of atmosphere. I'll use them again but not sit in!

Regularly use the Sugar cane mainly for take out. Never had a bad meal from them so happily recommend. They also deliver locally for a small fee. There is a restaurant space but we have never used and not sure if it a actually in use.
