Beautiful manor inside and out with ample space accommodating 14 of us and our dogs easily.
Well situated to get to the Dales and Lake District.
The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is the internet is terrible and the signal strength isn't good enough to reach a lot of the rooms. It needs to have boosters placed around the house and a faster speed as we could only get 1mgs.
I think the check out time is a little early at 10am. Especially when you can't enter the property until 4pm.
Great place for a big group meet. Comfortable, plenty of space. Dog friendly too.
Good facilities, well located for all of us.
Hall and landing carpet has seen better days though
I stayed here with my cousins and their partners, the house is just fantastic and ticked every box we wanted it to. Great location close to motorway and the Lakes. House was nice and warm and the rooms were all well laid out. Massive dining room table and plenty of seating in the two lounges. We spent a lot of time around the dining room table and the games room playing pool. Lots of TV's everywhere where but we didn’t use them much. All the rooms are en-suite, lovely comfortable beds and bedding. Nice big outside table and garden to enjoy however due to the cooler weather we had we didn’t get the full use of them unfortunately. Nice open plan and airy dining/kitchen area with breakfast bar to use. Well stocked kitchen with plenty of cutlery, glasses, plates, pots/pans /dishes etc. All in all a very nice and clean place to stay. Owner is also very friendly and very helpful. (We had to postpone this holiday twice due to lockdown 2020/21) Look forward to staying here again at some point.
Good amenities plenty of space for large groups. Rooms are tidy and well equipped. Local pubs and restaurants do struggle with larger groups and are shut certain days of the week. But house itself is brilliant
Lovely property but the flies..... flies.... flies.... really has put a downer on the experience and makes meal times rather stressful. Other than this the property is beautiful and clean maybe need to think of some more effective deterents than the 2 small fly zappers.
Excellent place for family get together we recommend
A fabulous place, great for a family get together, we were 12 and the house swallowed us up no problem every bedroom with its own on-suite and tv, a well equipped kitchen with a large stove, dishwasher, wine cooler ect a large table which accommodated the whole family with ease and a lounge area with plenty comfortable seating, a separate tv room with a large tv tuned to the total sky package, the pool table went down particularly well with the younger members of the group, we stayed in october so never used the garden but was very private and well equipped with garden furniture, the location is great for the eastern side of the lake district with Penrith a 10 minute drive away, we liked it so much we have rebooked for another stay, update:- just got back from our second stay 16 of us this time had a brilliant time, still loads of room and still just as good
Fantastic place anybody that doesn't give this 5 stars is nit picking, the facilities are top notch, we had a family get together no complaints from the oldest to the youngest, wish I could afford to go more often
