This place used to be great when Stella used to run it quality was also really good now you've really gotta go on the right day to get the right qauility and food then staff without a doubt are super nice but the food qauility has gone down drastically and it's only good on two days when it first reopened it was great but now there's so many new staff and they don't all do it well sometimes fish is to flavourless and the chips are sometimes flavours less to the best thing is probably the mixed meat and chips but that can sometimes lack flavour to the inside is nice now its been expanded overall as much as i enjoy it there's a lot that needs improvement and hopefully it gets better soon
Without a doubt the best fish and chips for miles. Not only is the food delicious! The shop is always clean! The thing that sets this shop apart from others is that it’s a close knit family business and the service is second to none! We will continue to be regular customers, thank you Stella’s ????
Best chippy in the area by far mini fish and chips is massive plenty and good value for money. The ppl in there are just so lovely The staff are so friendly came in tonight with my daughter and partner and the older gentleman cooking the fish gave her a lollipop and she was loving it ... Nice to see a family run business be family orientated.
Not sure if it just teething problems but this place is bad. Waited ages in the queue to get to the front and be told they've run out of fish. They obviously couldn't be bothered to put a simple sign on the window. Mixed meat had a few scraps of meat and had scraggy chips. I paid half price and still feel this was overpriced and definitely wouldn't be worth full price. Your money is better off spent elsewhere.
Best chippy ever! Recommend to everyone. Amazing food and even better staff, the owner is a Saint and all the workers are phenomenal once you come once you'll be waiting till you can come again.
My friend has just moved into the area. This was a quick food stop as we've not eaten all day...... Absolute banging chippy! Chicken burger spot on! Very good chippies. Definitely won't be the last time we visit here. Although they are now closed for 6 weeks for refurb.
This place don't deserve a 1 star, most expensive chippy in the area, that serve the smallest portions, there was hardley any meat at all on my donor meat and chips and for £6.80 I expected a decent portion and to top it of the meat was horrible it looked like it was the meat that had been cooking for ages, other chip shops cut this off and throw it away, will never go back here again
Absolutely superb. Called in and had small fish chips peas and curry sauce. Big portions size perfectly cooked eith no grease, thin crispy batter on the most succulent fish. Nicest I’ve had in years.
