I am a regular at this Starbucks and have to say, the service from all of the staff is phenomenal. They're all so happy and welcoming that I'd now consider them friends more than staff.
They make my hot and cold coffees perfectly and they've even helped support my disabled mother to the toilet when she couldn't get there on her own.

But ALL of the girls are just lovely.

Ordered a strawberry frappe and it tasted horribly of coffee, my partner went inside to have it remade and kindly asked to have no coffee in the drink, as he was waiting he saw the lady put coffee in the drink once again, when he got the drink he asked her “Just making sure this definitely doesn’t have coffee in?” and she said no, got back to the car and tried the remade drink and it tasted even more like coffee!!! too embarrassing and angry to go back inside and have it remade again for the third time so left unsatisfied with a disgusting drink that cost me £5.80.
The coffee was fine but this Starbucks is terrible. It is filthy. The few times I have been in recently the bathroom floor is covered in water (at least I hope it is water). The close at 9.45pm though it says 11pm. There is no indication that this is just the shop or the drive through or both. But they are so rude in how they kick people out. There is no signage and online says something different. There was only one staff who was doing a good job but the other staff were completely missing. Usually if they even there they are on their phones or sitting at the tables with their boyfriends. The music was so loud impossible to work and people are almost yelling to speak to one another. The manager of this Starbucks and the corporation should be ashamed at this one. This so dirty. The tables aren’t getting and the especially the bathroom. The staff clearly don’t want to work. Will not be coming back to this one ever.
I attend each morning at 6am for my latte and to read my morning paper. All the ladies I see each morning in are so friendly and nice,which at that time of day is not easy!!
I am an ex Costa customer of many years but their service became so bad on Newport Road that I converted to Starbucks which I have not regretted. Congratulations to Georgia and all the *girls* for making me feel welcome each morning!

I tend to grab a latte here atleast once a day, that should say a lot. The team are always friendly and the store is clean and has a good feel about it. Great first thing, nice and quiet but get a good vibe as the day goes on and the place fills up with people too.
I visit the Newport Road store 5 days a week for my daily coffee and sometimes food too. I've always received nothing but the best service from all staff members there, particularly Georgia and Ffion, who go above and beyond. They are professional, very efficient, friendly and always engage in conversation. All staff at this store know my order off by heart, and do a fantastic job multitasking managing the drive thru customers, as well as promptly serving in store as well.
The current team here are a credit to the Starbucks brand, and thoroughly deserve this recognition.
I visited the store last weekend and it was really busy inside I was served by a friendly member of staff and then I joined the queue of people waiting for their drinks. We were all told one of the coffee machines was broken and the girl Dal I think I read on her name badge was rushing through the drinks queue and apologising to each customer as she handed out the drinks. Waiting in a queue can be frustrating but it was clear to see she was trying to manage a stressful situation and some customer were being rude. More staff like her should be employed she is an asset to the business!
Collected a good to go bag, it felt a bit light but trusted the staff, never again, they were stood sniggering and when I got home realised the contents were written on the bag but half of it was missing. Disgusting, tried to call and they don’t bother answering. It’s not the best, normally cheese toasties and some cake but when half of it is missing it’s simply not good enough. Not worth the money, don’t bother, go to Costa instead, lovely staff lovely food
