Agreed with the last poster. There is a lady who I believe is perhaps the manager who is pleasant. But the other guys there are really rude, always give you the evils just for walking in the place. Do you want customers to spend money or not ?
The waiting time is quite frankly horrific. Although this is slightly mitigated by the fact there were two inexperienced staff on service. I've been to many other Starbucks before, and they have easily handled rushes on two staff members. However, this is a new store, and it seems they need to iron out a few "newbie" kinks. Food and drink is tried and tested, so no complaints there. In my photo, the customers were waiting for twenty minutes, which is not ideal for a coffee...
Atrocious service.
Arrive at 16.18 to a store that’s advertised to close at 5pm.
They are literally stacking chairs and tables around people.
Go to the counter and ask for a coffee to drink in (intending on getting a bit of work done)
To be told it’s takeaway only after 4.30 by the extremely rude staff member.
When pointing out that a) it wasn’t after 4.30, and b) the sign on the door advises the store is open until 5, I was told even more rudely that they need time to clean the cafe so it has to close before closing time.
Speaking of which: I think to get the place which can only be described as sticky, clean, they probably need to close about 9.30am!
I went in today during lunch hour which was busy and the service was understandably slower than usual, not a problem of course. After getting the wrong drink I felt bad for the staff member who was obviously training and struggling to deal with all the clients so I just said it’s fine I don’t mind having a different drink. I also got a sandwich which the staff member took at the till to heat up as it was one of those cheesy ones that you wouldn’t eat cold. After waiting about 15 minutes for my sandwich I went and asked if it was ready and the staff member accused me of having taken the sandwich with me at the till and said that she hadn’t taken it to heat up. I asked why would I lie about this and where would I have hidden the other sandwich? Someone else had to intervene and offer me another sandwich as she was very clearly getting agitated. I remained patient as I am totally understanding of the stress of working a customer facing job and being understaffed but it’s not nice to be accused of lying/stealing when you’ve just been patiently waiting
A very sad place. No atmosphere, place is empty. It is not possible to buy coffee to grind at home. The choice of cups is a tragedy. The place is dirty and need a good clean ! Absolutely unused space! . In other countries, Starbucks is much nicer and the selection is huge. Not for me????????????????????????????
Rude women on till! I am celiac so I asked for an uncontaminated latte so that means no contamination with any oat milks or gluten so that means new clean jug and the coffee machine spout wiped clean etc , she wouldn't do it , she even asked how severe my celiac was ! And told me I shouldn't drink in any coffee shop if I'm like that ! How rude and uneducated! I will not ever set foot in your shop again ! I never have problems in other coffee shops they always make me feel welcome and clean everything, she made me feel stupid me and my partner walked out !
Nice drinks here but it's a shame how expensive this place is! we had 2 hot chocolates and a latte as there was 3 of us. (this wasn't the same day I have written this) Came to a total of £15. Could've gone Time down the road and got more stuff for that price! Overall good. Also mostly busy on weekends.
Boring place, graveyard atmosphere, corporate souless interior, such a shame for a great building, feels a waste and of course self service where you even have to put your own chocolate on the cappuccino.... "It's there.." lovely self service not...
