The food is ok at best, the staff are rude, when I asked if I could possibly change an item as a vegetarian, a simple request which no other Chinese takeaway has ever had issue they said just order something else and sent the wrong food anyway, which wasn’t vegetarian so I was unable to enjoy most of my meal. They arrived late, this was my second chance at trying this takeaway as last time I ordered from here the food did not ever arrive and I tried to give them a second chance and this is what we got. They should be ashamed and I’m surprised they are still in business with the way they treat their customers. I have never met a person with a good thing to say about this take away. The staff need to learn some manners.
If you like MSG in your food then this is your place, every dish comes with extra MSG helping giving each dish the consistency of day old gravy, it’s so bad it destroys any taste or texture to the meat that’s in the dish
Leaving you to look forward to a night of constant drinking of water to try and rehydrate yourself, A truly terrible eating experience
Wow!! 2 hours later we finally got our delivery by driving to get it. I contact them about 12 times and it was a lie after lie that it had left the kitchen, it was on its way. My partner and I recently get engaged and want to celebrate and it was ruined. Don’t bother order from this takeaway!! Total joke!
I ordered food from here and I don't usually do reviews but I just had hands down the bestest Chinese meal with a variety of dishes for me and my family. I love my Chinese food I always come back to star kitchen and tonight they didnt disappoint us. Was delivered quickly, was hot, fragrant and flavoursome. Thank you
We'd been using Star Kitchen for a few years without any problems. But as if late the chap on the phone, who also takes the orders over the Internet has become really nasty. He often cancels our online order and when we phone to ask if they are taking deliveries, he abruptly says yes. We had a mixup with our delivery address early on in the year as we'd recently moved and the rudeness from the man was quite awful. The food isn't bad, it's the customer service that's appalling. I wouldn't give them your business as there's some lovely takeaways around with friendly happy grateful owners and staff!
Used to love this place but now when I work late and ask for delivery as I am too tired to collect (usually around £40 orders) firstly stated I am blocked, then out price delivery to £12, I have always been a good and loyal customer but will never use again.
Food is great when it arrives but that fact it was 2 hours from order to delivery is unacceptable in this day and age.
Reply to owners response - I will - keep up the good work, you'll be out of business in no time. What year did you fail charm school?
2nd time ordering from here 1st time was a delivery when i was fishing .
The food was amazing , we are from chruch stretton and the chinese here is terrible.
Food was cooked within 10 mins , was pipping hot when we got home ( i used a cool bag took keep it hot )
chips were amazing , same with the ege fryed rice ,beef chow mein and beef chop suey. both dishes had loads of meat . 100% will be back again soon was well worth the little trip to star kitchen.
