Staniforths use to be the best cream cakes for miles, but not anymore they use a cheap alternative instead. I'd rather pay more and get quality????
R Went into the store at 2.10pm, 2 ladies sat behind the counter. Asked for a sandwich to be told we’ve cleared everything away now. I said it’s ok I’ll have a bag of crisp and a cake, to be told it must be cash, I said don’t you have a card machine, assistant replied..
yes but we’ve switched it off and it’s on charge ready for tomorrow!! Absolutely ridiculous
Absolutely outstanding cake for my partners birthday! The detail and hard work that went into this is stunning, Staff were so helpful and welcoming. Will definitely call back. Lovely place, cakes are beautiful xxx ????❤️
Just bought a small pork pie from this place, I was assured they were nice, what a lie, gristle was a major part of the filling and the pastry wasn’t cooked properly, it was nasty, what a disappointment, I also bought a sausage roll, I wish I’d not bothered. Grit in the sausage meat, pastry wasn’t bad though.
Staniforths !! The BEST bakery in South Yorkshire. Freshest of fresh baked goods and so tasty. The staff are friendly and helpful. Roast pork sandwiches meat and potato pie any and all the sweet offerings. Yum yum get in my tum.
Always call here on a Tuesday, staff always get order wrong in some way most times as too busy chatting away or moaning about something the sandwiches are ok once you get them but they are in no rush to get que down at all, they have bread cakes ready with salad on not covered over so the breads going hard on ends, the cheese sometimes smells like it’s days old & not fresh, and seen them putting there fingers all over a vanilla slice without using gloves, don’t want to complaint about the place but something different every time I go in but no where’s else to go around there for a quick sandwich.
Smashing local bakers. Great range of products. I particularly like their curd tart & scones. If you need a white loaf you need to be there early.
Nicest ladies serving and the value for money is wonderful. £2.75 for a kids meal and you get loads. Definitely going here every time we're off out for the day
