quick services the place is freezing and not the cleanest I’ve been in.
The salt and pepper chicken was very hot and nice. The special chow mein didn’t have much gravy and was dry. The chicken balls were massive nice but the sweet and sour was very sour.
Worst Chinese ever had for a while.
special chow mein used to have lovely big slices of different meats in it now it's little strips in a very salty noodle with a red dye sauce on top that looks like blood I and the Duck in plum sauce was full of fat that wouldn't even give me dog and the fried rice you could cement bricks together with it . Spring rolls had nothing in them . we haven't been to this Chinese for a while but I'm not going again I'm wasting a whole £21 .70 pounds
We ordered from here whilst staying on holiday. We were amazed at the size of the portions we got, and the food was really good too.
I had a special chow mein which included loads of meat, compared to most places which seem to go vegetable heavy on them. The portion was double what we would have got for the same price back in Bedfordshire.
Similar stories with my wife's crispy shredded beef, and my father in law had chicken & cashews, and some king prawn balls. Couldn't believe how many balls were included (we usually get 6 in a portion)
Overall, really impressed by portions, value and quality, and we were still finishing it the next day which never happens from our local.
We had a large order as we were staying as a family locally..the order was placed in the phone and was quite a lot of food. The food was ready for collection right on time and was amazing.. the chicken balls, curry sauce, chips, rice.. all of the food was perfect!!
A genuine surprise, last minute order while passing through. Food was still hot 20 minutes later and all dishes were fantastic. Especially recommend spicy chips. Will make the effort to order again when we're on our way through
Had an amazing takeaway this evening, first time have used this place and was very impressed and had heard not so good. I hope this standard is consistent as will be using again very soon
Not had a meal here for years, just had a take away and remembered why. Had sweet & sour chicken balls, more batter than a bakers armpit squeezing an old chicken, sweet & sour was as runny as Mo Farah's(?) running shoes and about as much taste, the special rice looked great but meat on top tasted wrong and rest old & dried up, not to worry still had my pancake roll, unfortunately it was literally dripping oil, like a chip butty without the bread and chips thought the prawn crackers must be alright but even they tasted stale and of old oil.
Any good points YES, the plastic pots are quite strong (probably because their not recyclable?) and make good food containers. Wish I'd took heed of review I read yesterday, they said it was awful and had to chuck most of it, I didn't have to chuck it I've got 2 dogs, we'll see in the morning if that was a good idea (or not). £17.60 for dog food. Well their still going, I can only presume that's peoples taste round me, but not sure why. Disappointed, again!!!
Like walking into a bank with the ridiculous screens and speaker system, must be really scared of a mediocre virus. Chicken balls OK, mushroom curry didn't really taste of anything and Singapore rice was gritty and inedible. Nothing is authentic anymore.
