Went there for a hotpot. Came a half hour before our reservation and got the table anyway which was very nice.
Pros
1. Selection of broths was nice, 5 different ones, from spicy to clear.
2. Wide selection of veggies, meats and seafood for the hotpot.
3. £25 per person for all you can eat was a fair price.
4. Staff were really helpful and offered forks for chopstick-challenged people ????
Cons
1. Interior design of the place is deceivingly simplistic. Don’t expect extravagant decorations.
Lunch menu offers great value Chinese food. Really liked the hot and sour soup noodles.
Update: finally tried the all you can eat hot pot + BBQ and enjoyed the experience. Good range of meats, vegetables and noodles. Great value.
Really nice eating experience. Far more authentic than your traditional English Chinese. The hot pot experience is great. You get to choose a soup and then choose from a range of items to cook either in the hot soup or on a plate built into the table as a BBQ. It's really good fun. It's an all you can eat buffet and so no doggy bags allowed. Just stay for the experience and eat as much as you can.
Reviewing this restaurant by the essence of its food, it is difficult to find any fault relative to its peers in terms of taste, aroma, appearance, portions, and prices. Simply, this establishment cooks good food at one of the most affordable prices in Cambridge. You get your money' worth here with plenty of options on the menu.
Food was good - great portions but a bit too oily. Hopefully this can be avoided if you let the kitchen stuff know beforehand. The atmosphere was kind of okay. Service / communication wasn't great.
Always 5 stars food and service. Beef soft , melting in your mouth and the spiciness of chicken with chilli just make you want more.
Incredible food!!! My favourite Chinese restaurant, great value for money with huge portion sizes. Every dish I've tried has been delicious, I've been at least 7 times now and have had takeaway once, every time I have been incredibly satisfied. Have the garlic chicken, it is gorgeous.
Ordered crispy duck via an online service. What arrived did not resemble crispy duck by any reasonable measure and I'm not sure was even duck. Instead of shredded duck it looked more like diced pork. Won't be ordering from this place or that online service again.
