You know what, i was probably being unfair with the 1 star in the heat of the moment, because the quality of food itself is always 5 stars. But Delivery times at nearly 2 hours is just to long.
Ordered food at the weekend (not even a huge order, mostly things that are pre-made) at 6:05pm. Waited over an hour and a half before patience got the better of me and I called up for an update. They said it wouldn’t be much longer as they were waiting on the delivery driver returning to then get our food out. Half an hour later and I’ve phoned again. Driver is apparently on his way. It’s 8:15 and I’ve phoned again. Apparently the driver was outside and chapped the door, which was a complete lie or the driver was at the wrong door (after giving a specific address). We sat in the house with the TV muted with two dogs that shout the place down if anyone comes remotely near the house, so we wouldn’t have missed the delivery. Won’t be ordering there again, absolutely shocking waiting over 2 hours for food. My advice would be employ another delivery driver because that’s an abysmal amount of time to wait for an order to arrive, either that or sack the driver and find someone more efficient at their job.
First time we used the takeaway, we bought a chicken and lamb kebab, sat in the shop for 40 minutes waiting, the chicken tasted out of a packet and they where both cold really, it was a poor choice of takeaway.
If I could give it a zero I would.
Ordered from Spice of life tonight approx 10:00pm and the delivery arrived at my door at 10:50pm my order was cold. I called back to ask them to pick up the cold hoggie and to give then a chance to rectify the issue for me and they offered another one, which I did appreciate. My new "hot" order arrived at 11:40pm and I have to say I was still very disappointed. My order was in no way "hot" it was only slightly warmer than the first stone cold one. I will not be ordering from this takeaway again. It was a complete waste of money. Wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone. If I could rate it zero stars I would.
Ordered on line at 6.15pm and was told delivery would be 7.00pm. When it hadn't arrived by 7.40pm I messaged just eat who I had ordered through to be told they were busier than usual and would be delivered by 7.50pm.
This is totally bang out of order. We have walked in off the street on numerous occasions and were served quickly. Never have we had to wait nearly an hour and a half in the shop. Nor would we. I feel on line orders are being ignored but we are being charged an extra £3.00 for that pleasure.
