We last came here 8 years ago and it’s just as fantastic now (if not more so)! The food was fabulous and the staff were extremely attentive. We had two of the starter kebab sharers between 4 of us and there was so much on the sizzler plates. The prawns were massive and full of flavour. The chicken was surprisingly juicy, I think a lot of the time tandoori chicken can become quite dry so it was a pleasant surprise that this one wasn’t.
We also ordered 2 chicken bhuna, 1 chicken tikka bhuna, and 1 butter chicken along with 4 pilau rice and a naan bread. The butter chicken was probably the best I’ve ever tried and was somehow nicer than it was 8 years ago! Everyone else at the table was pinching the sauce with some of the naan bread! The rice was lovely and fluffy and the naan was also the best I’ve had. It has a slight crispness but was also very soft.
All the staff were lovely. Drinks were brought out very quickly as well as plates and cutlery. They ensure we knew which plates were red hot and set out everything perfectly. Whenever we were done with things they were very quick to move it from the table. Everyone was generally very polite and hardworking. We’d love to come more often but unfortunately it would be quite a long drive to come all the way up to Seahouses so we’ll have to settle with popping in when we’re on holiday!
Decided to try the second of the two Indian restaurants in Seahouses. Very quiet on this blustery Sunday evening in March. Ic and Flic chose a window seat and pints of draught Cobra. This traditional restaurant also still uses brilliant white starched tableware. I had a very spicey chicken dish. Delicious. We all enjoyed our food. Service was excellent but more staff than customers in the low season.
Great takeaway food - there were 14 of us so tried a wide variety of dishes and the standard was very high.
We’ve also eaten in the restaurant before and were equally impressed

We have eaten at the Spice House on several occasions & always had excellent food . Tonight we ordered a take away and I ordered a dish not on the menu ( keema mushroom bhuna ) without hesitation they said they would cook it and it was delicious. My hubby always has a ‘home style’ curry which is to be recommended for those who like a hot spicy curry . Would definitely recommend eating there. ????
Me and my partner were in northumbria for a few days and fancied a curry. The food was delicious and we didn't have to wait long for our food. It was a nice atmosphere and the staff were very polite, would recommend.
Absolutely gorgeous food. Best Indian food I think we've ever had. The stuff we're so lovely roo and made us really welcome. It does get really busy 8ish (we went at 7) so I'd book I'd choosing to eat later. Really really nice !!
Tried this Indian restaurant for a take away, the staff were chatty. The food was really good.
