Best KPortal Reviews

Despite the reviews gave it a go & went for Sunday lunch at £12.95. Choice of meat was either beef or lamb. Opted for the beef which was plentiful, very tasty & tender. Came with carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, roast potatoes & a Yorkshire pudding, all of which were nice. Would have loved a bit of mash & if the roast potatoes had been home made would have been even better. Lovely outside area, with clean & well presented tables inside.
Didn't even get to try the food. Bought a round of drinks and were told to pick a table in the restaurant. All the tables bar one hadn't been cleaned from what looked like the night before. We were then told the chef would come and take our order in 5 minutes. Alarm bells start ringing! No serving staff? Chef turns up in jeans! If he'd turned up looking like a chef in White's or similar we might have given it a go but at this point we high tailed it out of there.....
Wanted to give this place a fair shout out based on the experience my wife and I had tonight. The restaurant looks lovely, it was clean, and the seating is very comfy. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was DELICIOUS! I had the Malaysian curry with pilau rice and my wife had the Sizzling Handi with garlic naan bread, everything was well-cooked and bursting with flavour.
Got takeaway fish and chips. Nothing like the photo. Dried out fish and the chips looked liked they had been cooked ages ago and reheated - burnt in fact. Very expensive and barely edible. Extremely disappointed. Avoid making the mistake we did.
This place relies on the fact that it is in a very beautiful coastal village and busy with tourists like us. Very expensive and on top of it they charged us 5.60 for service charge? I have read that it is illegal, and that is not a tip that goes to the staff.
Really not sure what everyone is complaining about to be honest…me and my family were looking for somewhere to eat on a Sunday evening (a seemingly undoable task here), we came across this place and decided to give it a go despite the reviews and I’m so glad we did. The waiting staff were absolutely lovely, the food had good flavour (hard to go wrong with a vegetarian curry) and we didn’t have to wait too long for our food, and most importantly, they were still serving food! I never review but felt the need to for this place as I feel it’s got a bad rep and doesn’t deserve to be slated on reviews like it is. Good food, good staff, good price.
Don't ignore the reviews, this place is terribly. The worst and most expensive fish and chips i have ever add. All ended up in the bin. Avoid, avoid avoid.
Gave this one a try.....wish we hadn't!
I can truly say its the worst take out I've ever experienced!
Only 2 meals ordered....1 garlic fish curry, 1 chicken Korma......a mushroom rice and a special mixed rice.
1 keema naan and 1 garlic naan.....easy!!!
Both curries were all sauce and bland and insipid.
The mixed rice was just rice.....nothing else.
No keema naan
The garlic naan was dry, crumbled and tasteless.
An absolute disaster and disgrace.
