This was another local convenience shop which was a 10 minute walk away from my house. It was near the main road and the local bus stops. The shop sold groceries,cold food and beverages, alcohol, cigarettes, vape etc
I used to top up my oyster card here.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
On 2 occasions while topping up the office Oyster card here they’ve put on a few pence less than I’ve paid for it. Petty cash I have to reconcile from my own money. Once is forgivable but I don’t think I’ll return.
Criminals that steal from the poor and vulnerable. Only allowing customers to top up pre paid electricity keys £20 and changing 50p to do so. They should be ashamed of themselves!!!
Watch this place, they overcharge for anything they think they can, eg. £15 for cigarettes, double fees for topping up pre-payment cards etc.
They also have a habit of ignoring white women in the queue and serving Asian men before them. It's happened twice to me, so it's not an accident. I just walk out and take my custom elsewhere though.
They Charge for using payzone and they say the machine isn't working when it is and sometimes they say there is a £20 limit per customer, once challenged about it's wrong and immoral to be charging people to use payzone especially in a cost of living crisis one of the owners said 'what do you think I have this machine in here for charity? After contacting payzone to see if this charge was right, I was told the shop is not allowed to add this charge. I went back to get my money back because of the principle only to be shouted at aggressively by the owner and told 'look at you, black man crying for 50p'! this shop is very dodgy and unscrupulous they also charge for mobile top up transactions even if you're using cash.. they illegally sell single cigarettes too!
Shop keeper did not release Parcel From Yodel despite having confirmation and reference number that the parcel was ready for collection.
DO NOT USE THIS SHOP FOR ANY PACKAGE COLLECTION. I ordered a package for delivery to this business and even though it was Royal Mail tracked they stole the package. Royal Mail proved it was delivered their but it went missing the next day when I went to collect it with the couple behind the counter denying it had ever been delivered and laughing at me when I asked them if they had kept it for themselves.
