The staff are really friendly. The food was served promptly and piping hot.
I'd highly recommend starting with a sharing starter as the portions are large.
We were the only diners in the dining room and I would be intrigued to visit the restaurant when it has an atmosphere to enjoy.
Of all the meals out my party ate during out short break in Pickering, this was by far the best value for money.
Food was fantastic, not the biggest menu but definitely big enough and something for everyone, really well cooked, some unique items and really really large portions! Would advise sharing a starter as I couldn't finish my main!
The drinks were a little on the pricey side however that is to be expected, the staff were friendly and attentive
It was a nice place to eat, with plenty of meat dishes on the menu. Unfortunately not a lot of vegetarian dishes. - Soup and chips.
Not too expensive, so good for kids. Big play area outside for the nicer weather days.
Dined here 2 nights (6th and 7th May 2023). Absolutely delicious food. VERY generous portions and well worth the price you pay. The portions are massive, so either be a competitive eater or order less than you expect as you will be happily full before the plate is empty.
Staff working here are an absolute delight too. Very pleasant and welcoming.

Food was lovely, prices were good. Food arrived quickly and it all came together. My meal was delicious and there was plenty. The staff were friendly and polite. The only downside was there was no choice in wine unless you bought a bottle.
If you’re staying in the area you MUST eat here. OMG the portion sizes are immense, we were foolish and ordered sides with our ‘tray’ meal (plates wouldn’t hold all the food) needless to say not many were eaten.
We ordered the salt and pepper tray, the American combo and the ribs from the grill section, garlic mushrooms which were not breaded and fried as you’d normally get but in a creamy sauce with 2 bread rolls and salad, garlic bread and onion rings.
We should’ve taken photos but we were so amazed by the sizes that we just made a start as we knew we were in for a long haul.
Back in 2 years wow changed is not the word. Had food mixed grill over half plate chips & meat okay asked for rare for well done. Attitude staff good owner awful dirty dishes full of scrap food & glasses left in conservatory ???? was in there 40min playing pool non staff come to clean 1 table let alone the 7 or 8 full awful
Lager no head in lager so asked to stop at a point so I'd have a head, slammed glass on bar. Pool table not releasing balls for a full game, asked if they could get ball. Owner immediately put an out of order on it and give him the pound back. Forget it keep the quid. Lived this place atmosphere and staff was ace. Never again shocking dnt go.
Perfect for families to let the kids to run off some steam with the play area and large lawn. Kids were entertained for the 2.5 hours we were there. Food was lovely and portion sizes were generous and worth the money. Staff were really friendly and welcoming.
