I have used Spain's for over thirty years with no issues, alas since under new management the personal service has disappeared.
I requested a home call for my wife's car which would not start.
The reply was, we do not have time to come out, wasting our time, can give you the number of a breakdown company! In my opinion this guy had a poor attitude regarding my problem.
I will never entertain this Garage again, plenty of other options.
Cowboy outfit, charged me over £200 for a service on a write off, after failing to spot the problem. Avoid at all costs!
Extremely rude and aggressive for no apparent reason. If you simply don’t want to perform the job just say so. Swearing at a customer that always goes to you as a first option is uncalled for. AVOID AT ALL COSTS there are plenty of capable Garages nearby

Excellent staff and always very friendly. A number of highly skilled mechanics in the workshops are always happy to help and offer advice on my vehicles. The reception staff are welcoming and I have always found my vehicles to be repaired to a high standard. I have remained a customer for over eight years and have been delighted with the servicing and MOT standards applied to my various vehicles over the years. Very reliable and the very best value for quality car care in East Kent.

I have been to this garage several times with three different cars and I feel I've always been advised and priced very fairly. On a recent routine visit, my car regrettably encountered a lot of complications which resulted in it being in the garage (at Spain and Co's) for a reasonably long period of time. A potentially frustrating and stressful situation was made so much easier with the tireless work by Kevin and his team who kept us up to date and reassured the whole time. We were also supplied with a courtesy car. After countless hours of additional labour and new installation of parts, my wife and I were very anxious about how much the full repair was going to cost but we were delighted when Kevin told us that they wanted to make significant cutbacks on the invoice to reflect the time it had taken and the inconvenience caused. In many ways, I am writing this post carefully as I don't want to give the impression that Spain's take a long time to get a job done (after all, they've done plenty of very quick jobs on my various cars without encountering problems.) The point I am making here is that I find it very rare and quite exceptional that a garage would be so transparent about issues they have found and not put the stress and cost back onto the customer. There was clearly some fault their end and they were keen to accept responsibility and find a solution. They clearly want people to return to their garage which is what I will be doing knowing the high standards of customer service and integrity they hold. I feel a little strange giving a 5 star rating given that we were quite inconvenienced for a while but things don't always work out the way we predict and that is when being honest and human about things pays dividends. The car runs beautifully now and I'll be back for a service in the next few months.
When I first went to this garage it was brilliant ‘ after owners changed hands ‘ I took two separate cars . And both have been fixed wrong or faulty . Costing me 500£ to fix on the first car at a separate garage / second car still costing me money to fix the issues . Took the car back and they said driver error ( when a decent inspection showed tracking was off . No offer of refund for first ‘ motor / second motor stating drivers fault when in fact was the technicians fault . Don’t bother
Having arrived in Ramsgate after a 165 mile drive form Suffolk I found the front brakes on my 16 Plate Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV scraping badly. I went to a national chain garage to have them checked to see if my return journey would be safe, to be told they could not check them as they were not qualified to work on electric vehicles.
I was advised to visit Rob at Spain's Garage whom I visited at 8.30 last Thursday morning. Rob immediately said he could do the repair and would fit it in but couldn't promise it being done by lunchtime!. I hadn't given him any timescale so was delighted at his very helpful attitude. He rang later in the morning at 11.30 to say job all finished having fitted new discs and pads to the front.
Amazing service in this day and age. I cannot praise Rob and Spain's Garage enough for the 'can do' attitude' and for a first class repair at a very reasonable price.
My son lives in Ramsgate so from now on I will be having my car serviced/repaired at Spain's Garage on my visits to Ramsgate.
Thanks you Rob for a job exceedingly well done. If anyone needs vehicle repairs in the Ramsgate area look no further Rob is your guy.
