My Husband and I with our two dogs spent a lovely lunchtime here.
Most of the eateries in the area were shut (probably because it was a Thursday and out of season) and seeing the 'dogs welcome' sign made the decision to dine here an easy one.
So glad we did. The server was a lovely lady who brought us two sausages for the dogs and was very understanding when the puppy was still a bit lively after we had sat down.
My Husband had the full breakfast & I had poached eggs on toast. Can't speak for my Husband but my meal was wonderful. The bread was hand cut (nice & thick) and the eggs were perfect.
Real fire was a bonus as it was a chilly day.
The only downside is that it was a cash only eatery. Not a problem, cashpoint over the road.
Thanks for a great meal, will be back.
Quirky cafe with friendly staff. Food was a bit hit and miss, but for a cup of tea and cake you can't go far wrong.
Nice little cafe on the main street with inside and outside eating available.
Not many veggie options though but enough to pick a decent meal from. Good selection of deserts to be had to finish off a meal.
Well cooked tasty food at very reasonable prices served by efficient staff makes this a recommend little cafe.
Almost an hour just to get acknowledged by waitress, tables dirty of previous victims cups and plates.
Tried to be courteous to the waitress, asked how are you? To which the response was, not good!! Wow!
Beautiful little place in the middle of a tourist trap, should be full of customers,,should be well staffed, little gold mine in the right hands, however, in the meantime, back to customer service school, or the next visit will be from Gordon Ramsay.
Looks like a nice cafe. It's a bit dated inside but we thought we'd give it whirl as the menu looked ok. The service was pretty dire. The grumpy lady that served us wouldn't even look us in the eye and just flatly retorted a "no" when I asked if they did any veggie sausages. The food was nice and hot and prompt but the service was shocking... the waitress just poured hot water for the pot of tea all over my news paper, without an apology, and when a chap came in asking for a couple of hot drinks to take away she just told him no, they were too busy. There must have been no more than 3 customers waiting for their food. Busy indeed. Go to the cafe at the leisure centre down the road for great service and food.
Visited today, found the waitress to be unorganised, think on her own. Forgot to bring out sauces till the end, to late. And no sugar for the brew ( small cup), had to find my own. Basic but could do better.
Rude, refused a 30 week pregnant woman to use the toilet and said it was a pound for gas and electric. It’s basically law to let a pregnant woman use the toilet. I am mortified. I would have bought a drink afterwards as came to visit the area for the day. Disgusted! She must of been having a bad day felt sorry for the woman to be honest.
Although I didn't go and be a customer I found the owner very rude, understanding that unless I'm a customer I can't use the toilet is fine. But to be very snarky about it and because I didn't have cash she kicked me being very rude about her mannour
