Awful company. Bought a van few months back and had nothing but problems. Rang multiple times and he answered just once after trying so many many times previously. He seemed dis interested. The van currently is off the road ford have told me the codes have needed to be wiped for some time.
Friendly, helpful and excellent customer service. We bought our car from here at the beginning of the year and it has been a great reliable car. The cars are clean and well prepared. We have recommended Lydford motor company to several of our friends who have also bought their cars from here. I wouldn't hesitate in using them again.
Over two phone calls I was guaranteed a van was in great condition so paid £150 to be drove 4h20m south to collect the vehicle that was over priced to begin with. I thought it must be in really good condition so took the trip.
The van had been in a front end smash and rebuilt ready for sale. Wrong engine fitted larger than on the papers. Poor rebuild quality for sure with a wing mirror being held on by a rusty nail. Interior was KNACKERED. Had certainly been stripped out to join the new engine. The guy was arrogant when confronted and refused to discuss anything. Refused to refund saying “I don’t work Saturdays”.
Was a very unpleasant experience and unless your close and can inspect vehicles thoroughly, preferably with a trained professional I wouldn’t waste your time or money.
Have now purchased 2 cars from this company and can't fault them. Every dealing with them has been honest and fair. I will definitely use them as my first port of call whether it's for mechanical issues or purchasing my next vehicle. Would definitely recommend.
Great customer service, genuine nice guys. Got an emergency car as I needed one quick, cheap price, and bomb proof so far! Lovely little focus and I had a customer who also bought a car from this garage. His car has also never gone wrong and he's had it nearly 2 years
The only review that we can leave is appalling and buyers beware !! Check what your buying independently ! Bought a van which is not fit for purpose after just one week ... don't be fooled by the consumer act as " YOU " have to prove he knew it was faulty when you purchased. If it like ours had 10 mths , you don't have a leg to stand on as he knows the consumer act word for word we sunk all our spare money into the purchase and subsequently lost our business...????????beware of this business
I bought a car for my daughter that was pre owned by a smoker. I asked when viewing if it would be cleaned and the smell would go. He assured me it would be thoroughly cleaned but could not guarantee the smell to be gone completely. The car was NOT cleaned, a slight rub over the dash maybe but I’ve used 80 wipes and the nicotine is still showing on the wipes. Very disappointed as we paid full asking price. The car so far is running ok a few bits have fallen off inside but it’s the filth that’s the trouble.
I purchased a car from this garage early march..
I was told log book would turn up..months later was still told log book has been delayed due to covid19!
I sold this car in june to another garage and apparently this garage has NEVER reported to DVLA that they had even purchased the car!!!!
So I lost £200 as this was a deposit for the guarantee of the log book that I was supposedly be getting!!!
My emails have been ignored!
DO NOT BUY FROM THESE DUBIOUS PEOPLE!!!
