This was a last minute booking. |The hotel doesn’t look much from the outside but it was what you would expect for the money. |The room was a reasonable size, small but adequate. |It was clean and comfy. |Tea and coffee making facilities. Bottled water and toiletries if you needed them. |Albert went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The locals were all very friendly |We would return. |Would recommend if you are looking for a budget hotel in that area
Polite and friendly staff, bathroom stank of blocked drains plug in air freshener in the bedroom was overwhelming, but other than that room was clean and beds comfy, we were absolutely knackered after a day driving around Skye so were happy to just sleep and leave at 8am next day.
My family and I did not stay at this hotel, however we had a long delay for a bus and were welcomed while we waited for it in their lobby. They were extremely friendly and understanding, and provided my daughter with activities while also allowing us to play with their puppy which my daughter and wife also loved.
They were wonderful hosts (to a family not even staying there) and even went above and beyond providing additional help when our bus was late and we were starting to panic.
Highly recommend their location and staff for amazing service and a wonderful atmosphere.
A million thanks to them again for everything!!! :)
Used the hotel bar a couple of times, staff were very friendly and accommodating which we really appreciated.
Visit only marred by one of the older male locals who decided to harass us (two women) as we were sat at the bar having a quiet drink whilst we waited for the train. We ended up leaving as the “banter” was escalating and getting quite nasty and my cousin felt extremely uncomfortable. Whilst I’m sure this guy props the bar up for most of the year, as indeed he doesn’t look like he has much else going on in his life, female tourists should be able to visit without fear of feeling unsafe.
Real shame to be made to feel so unwelcome in what has otherwise been an amazing trip.
Don't judge it from outside, it looks much better inside. It looks quite new and I think they are expanding right now and building new rooms. Room was clean, everything in what you need, was fine
Service cannot be really judged, check in was super easy, the people working there are super friendly. If you want to watch TV they have a bunch of DVDs at the bar to take, strange but funny
Can recommend this as it is located at the entry of Skye, the village itself is very small and quiet so if you want to eat or drink something you have to look a bit
We really enjoyed our brief visit to this hotel, the manager & staff were great and did all they could to accommodate us. The room, while small, was very modern, clean, quiet and comfortable. With a TV, coffee/tea and ‘Tunnock’s’ we enjoyed a comfortable night. I would have no problems in visiting here in the future. There is also a small parking area to the rear of the hotel.|The ‘but’ in my introduction is definitely not a complaint, just a little situational awareness. The Kyle of Lockalsh is not as tourist oriented as Ullapool or Oban (for example), it does not have the tourist demand for many bars and/or restaurants, therefore if you want a relaxing drink or a meal - it could be difficult to come by in this town, particularly on a Monday or Tuesday. Unfortunately we arrived on a Monday evening and the few local restaurants were closed or booked out. The Skye Bridge Hotel (itself) did not have their bar open due to demand and staffing issues, and like most of Brexit/COVID UK they struggle to employ new staff… so we were unlucky in this respect. However, to the managers credit we were able to purchase a meal and drinks from nearby food bars and use the hotel bar area to eat and relax so all was good in the end (I recommend the local pizza take away). |So, certainly stay at the Skye Bridge hotel, just be aware that socially, the town has not an awful lot to offer, particularly on Mondays or Tuesdays.
Unfortunately, the quality of my stay did not align with the price I paid, which was 281 euros for two nights, without breakfast included.
Upon arrival, my room had a strong and unpleasant odor, making it uncomfortable to stay. Furthermore, my room's proximity to the road resulted in constant traffic noise. The facilities were notably basic for the price range.
However, the most significant issue was the noise disturbance. Thin walls made it impossible to sleep, and guests in Room No. 4 and Room No. 7 were exceptionally loud, engaging in noisy activities past 12.00am. ( chatting, laughing and having fun) I was sleeping, even I woke up from my bed to tell them to lower volume due to late time and my family(senior people) was sleeping, they kept making noises still.
Despite my attempts to call the reception desk for assistance, there was no response.
Lovely friendly staff, very happy to direct us to beautiful locations!
The service was 15:00-22:00 as they had no staff ( we arrived around 18:00)
Our room was above the bar, which was very loud.
The bed was uncomfortable for us, and the toilet was very dirty ( i had to clean it, which was not the best experience).
The room was extremely hot , a fan would be appreciated but we didn't have service after 22:00 pm that i can ask!
We opened the window but was very loud and didn't sleep at all.
Special thanks for the lovely lady on the reception , she was very helpful with a lot of information!
