We ordered a take out from the Sinh Ley whilst on holiday. We had to drive from Studford Lodges as this was the closest Chinese to where we were staying and I have to say it was absolutely worth the drive. Although they had a sign saying orders had to be called in, they were accommodating to the fact we were not locals and allowed us to order in house.
Our order was ready within 10 mins which was really impressive but this rapid time was not a sign of poor quality as our meal was really quite stunning. The take away reception itself was really clean and the lady who served us was really pleasant and friendly too.
If you're in the area, I would definitely recommend the Sinh Ley for a meal.
Excellent chinese. Five star food rating is evident as the food tastes fresh and delicious. Amazing flavours and a great menu. Only missing Crispy seaweed. Will be back again and again
Quarter crispy duck was over 8 pounds, but came on the bone and yielded relatively little meat. Chicken chow mein went down well with the kids. Chicken satay was spicy, which I enjoyed, plenty of water chestnuts but my wife did not enjoy, she said it was tasteless apart from the heat. Chips were a write-off as usual from a Chinese restaurant - I don't know why I bother trying.
Food was quick and delicious. Told them one of us had a peanut allergy, they took care of it and had no issues. Lovely friendly service. Would seriously recommend.
Amazing food, amazing staff - welcoming lady on the front counter. Prices on the high side however worth it! Will come again when im next up!
First time I've used this takeaway and it will definitely be the last. Chicken balls were swimming in oil and inedible and the chips (which you have to pay extra for) were a bag of scrappy bits and cold.
We have been fans of the Cantonese at Pickering but we have had some really nice dishes from Sinh Ley - the char sui pork, beef in black bean etc.
A bit more expensive than other local options but the food is generally better quality and the portions are quite generous too.
The menu has a good range of options including some English dishes.
