This place has for many many years served the most fantastic Sunday roast. Everything is fresh, no frozen veg in sight. The portion size is excellent and they are more than happy to bring extra gravy should you want it.
Staff are courteous and attentive. Lovely atmosphere, plenty of parking, great food at good prices, what more could you ask ????
Bar staff are really great.
The food is brilliant home cooked food, just make sure you’re hungry before you go????.
Owner is now letting dogs into the bar area too so we will definitely be taking our dog with us next time.
Only stopped for a couple of pints whilst on a walk with the dog, so can't really give a comprehensive review. Also kitchen still being refurbished. Pub seemed OK, beer garden nice. Will revisit when up and running.
I can't rate the food because I've not eaten here. However I love to have a pint here from time to time. Staff friendly and welcoming and there is always a cosy atmosphere. I enjoy a pub with a bit of character and Simms Road has that in spades.
Just called in here for the first time while driving past. The staff was welcoming from first entrance and very helpful. The food was beautiful and defeated us all as the portions were massive, home cooked food at its best.
We will definitely be calling again now we have found this place. Thank you for the service from start to finish it was A*
